This was absolutely terrifying. Incredible work. The tools around the exit door was a sign that there was no escape, as other wonderers would have tried to use such tools to exit. The fact that trying to exit the shopping mall of this level leads to the release of the entity was smartly done. 10/10!

Should have grabbed the pitchfork. Actually, should have gone to the back of the store and gone into the "employees only" backrooms of the store. There's always an unlocked exit back there.

When I was a child, lying in the bed, I loved imagining being trapped in a huge shopping mall after it's closed, and thinking about where should I hide to protect myself from the ghosts wandering there at midnight. THIS gives me a strong sense of nostalgia. An experience I've never had yet I missed a lot😭I just can't stop myself repeating it again and again! Thanks for the wonderful work!!!

Did was in a mall or a huge supermarket and ending in a spot with no people it seems like the spot have either no lights on or reduced the light and the have a shelf but on one one side a pillar which reduced the width of the hallway and you have this "hidden spot" in the market and the strange thing is it is unnatural silent no people no sound of the store

The dialogue is something along the lines of "we would like to advise all surviving personnel do not attempt to look for an exit. Go to a safe room/evacuation shelter immediately." Four months ago I came across this video for the first time. It is the reason why I decided to learn 3D software and animation. I thought "what the hell, what's my excuse? Why am I not making this myself?" After all I'm a smart guy and I want to make people feel the way i just felt with this video. Long story short, I already have two AMAZING "maps" for backrooms videos that I hope I can publish soon (an epic rendition of lv.94 and a never before animated negative level)... I just have to get some animation stuff right :) Thanks for the endless inspiration, and for helping me fight my laziness and learn something beautiful.

I'm not sure as to exactly why, but the fullness of the shelves instills an eerie mix of both comfort and fear unto me. The ending of this video is a perfect example of the phrase "don't bite the hand which feeds you" (pun intended). It's a shame the wanderer made such an absurd decision, given the amount of forensic evidence there was near the "exit". Overall, the video is amazingly produced!
@emeraldmorningmist

If the food in the store was edible and they had all those supplies, I would have first gotten some camping gear and looked for other exits first. Then I probably would have tried prying the door myself, even after seeing it had already been tried. My thought process would have been that maybe they didn't get enough leverage. That said, I would have tried to do so very quietly based on the "blood" in the area.
@dogster8257

For the fulness of the shelves, it might be that there's no evidence that people took advantage of the stock, either because it is unedible or because they didn't live long enough to do so.

Imagine if instead of just falling into the backrooms, this person was just shopping in a store and went into an isle that had an invisible portal in mid air. They unknowingly walk through the portal and all the voices of other shoppers in the background go silent, only the music playing on the speaker remains. They notice the sudden silence of all the people and run out only to find the entire store has become empty and infinity vast. It's like that feeling of getting lost in the store as a little kid but times 100.

And the worst part seemed to be if you tried to interact with any food or drink it would instantly descend into rapid entropy. Like a time lapse speeded up the item would molder and spoil. This level would initially be a blessing because of all the food and drinks, but slowly, like any other level of the Backrooms, you would go crazy from the lack of other people and the constantly playing music and bright lights. Plus the fact that no matter how far you walk you'll never find the exit, and when you do find an "exit" like this guy did, it's either accepting that you'll never get out of here or trying to escape that sets this thing loose. And then run for your life hoping that there is a hiding place or a secret exit has opened. The screams are perfect by the way, super realistic. You just hear the pure madness, fear and despair.

I think that since human brains are known to adapt very well to any environments, you'd eventually get used to it. The Sandman song will eventually become background noise that you aren't aware of, you won't feel trapped as you get used to this like it's your planet, and even though you'd likely be grieving about your family, friends and the lack of any people, over time you'll come to accept your fate and just enjoy all the free food there.

This is definitely one of the greatest backrooms found footages i have seen so far. the song choice was perfect and it gave the what seems to be normal grocery store an uneasy feeling like something was wrong. The setting felt so familiar and yet so unfamiliar at the same time it caused an interesting effect. The exit doors being sealed shut and even giving the person tools to show there really is no escape although it seems so close was a great move. And the entity at the end really got to me, how the crys were so distorted and loud. this was great work and underrated!

The infinitely long ailse and walls of the store is definitely creepy and awesome. Damn, this must have taken a good while to make with all those objects to place on the shelves. I think the cameraman is extremely dumb though and it kinda detracts from the experience. He starts to attempt to break through the door even though the evidence around it clearly suggests many have tried and failed, he sees the entity heading towards him but takes a good while before he starts running, and worst of all, he keeps looking back to film the entity when it is literally right behind, which ends up resulting in his death.

Something tells me this was partially filmed at a real location - the sale signs on the Pepsi endcaps is identical to the ones Safeway uses. If I were to guess, they used an app like Polycam to do detailed 3d scans of a real store and used those scans to create the virtual world - it would have saved a TON of time and computer resources that way over modelling and placing each individual item.

My father owned many stores over the years, and sometimes when I was little he would bring me inside one of them when it was closed (maybe because he needed to retrieve something he forgot, something like that), and usually I would stay alone wondering inside, waiting for him. I have always been scared of almost everything since I was a kid, even now. I still remember the feeling of pure loneliness, and fear, but also calm, emptiness, like something was missing (which is actually the main theme of the backrooms), and I felt so relaxed. Surely a really interesting experience. I can assure you that this video is a great example of what it might be to stay in there (obviously without the monster part)

The realistic and human way the camera man acts makes this video feel more real and scarier, and the infinite halls with lots of products, references and details from the real world makes the Backrooms feel like they were something to be afraid of. The music is another point that makes this place kind of... Familiar, but lonely at the same time. In general, I loved the video and there are lots of positive points. Maybe there are some lights that aren't exactly made (although I don't know if they were hanging), but I am not a professional with animation, so I'm just letting you know this was incredible. The entity was made of a way that makes you feel tension all the time you are able to hear it, and the craving is constant. Continue like this. Greetings from Spain.

I love the detail of the music being happy and off key, more noticeably during some moments more than others. ( I like that detail cause’ it gives a sort of unpredictability) I think this is a better take on music in the backrooms than the usual more ambient songs. Those don’t scare me, and I think it’s because they make it sound lonely and like you’re not supposed to be there, but we already know that so it sort of ruins the effect ( some even make me feel almost relaxed ). But with the happy music, the happiness and offkeyness really unsettles me. It almost feels like the level is trying to act human, if that makes any sense. It’s trying to seem normal, but it turns out to just be alien like and unsettling. Great job!

It looked like swirling colors / aural things. Every door was created and there were sets on both sides. But there were no doors, no drapes, no exits around any of them. I did not go in, I just observed. Felt alone but knew I was not. The other dream I had took place in a supermarket like this one.

I found it kinda worked. The uncanny thing is that the smiley isn’t 3d, not physically logical there proportion wise, so it’s „something else“ on a coherent body. One of my most surreal and creepiest dreams I ever had ended with being in a kind of techno club-like warehouse with some people still hanging around after a sickeningly odd contortionist performance where bodies started melting into one another to very very strange music. And at some point I saw… something amidst the few visitors. It has a square head that instantly looked like an old-style computer monitor and then I realised it also had an 8-bit smile expression on it. And it was the most chilling moment of all because I could tell it was fully sentient and it had a physical presence and agency, but it was absolutely not human at all. And I had to control myself so much to not let me fear and bewilderment show when facing this absolute oddity of a being.

And I love the fact that the creature isn't simply there, but has some sort of "job" as a guardian of that place. I find this a really good concept😁

I remember that there was a random grocery store closing when I was a kid in the 90s - and the mood of that place reminded me of this video...well done.

This is a really off putting video. It feels really scary just walking around, the alone and nostalgic vibe is so *on point* with the backrooms and I love it. We need more videos like this for sure.

2:56 that wouldve been creepier if it even showed a fake reality outside, like fake people , buildings that are just there for decoration

The video is great. The distorted music in the background really fits in the level. And as he tries to break the door, I heard the "do not attempt to reach the exit". The guy who's talking said we should find an evacuation shelter. KNOWING THAT SOMETHING BAD IS BOUTA HAPPEN. As the blackout event happened, the shivers was crawling down my spine, knowing that this will be a great video. Fire🔥

Let this be a valuable lesson for you. If you see a lot of tools on the floor and eeries stains along with them next to a locked door and you start hitting the door and the lights go out. do not, and this cannot be stressed enough. Do not just stand there. Stop, Drop, and Hide.
