29:30 Interesting. Our protagonist got caught by the squidmen, but the monsters didn’t kill him… In fact, it seems they are asking him for help, because they seem to possibly be mind controlled/enslaved by the fleshy mass we see in the end. We’ve actually seen fleshy constructs like it before, most notably in the Playrooms where ‘APRE’ was studying a pillar of bloody flesh, as well as in the Liminal hotel, where it was more like wood and was referred to as the ‘Wires’. While it is in different colors and shapes in each, they are similar enough to conclude that they probably are all the same thing, they’re just using different materials. They kinda feel to me like a ‘cancer’ that’s infected this place, since the distortion and warping of reality seemingly grows worse the closer you get to the point of origin.
@electric7487
@electric7487 5 ай бұрын
The squid-men and skeleton-with-tentacles monster are either hostile to begin with or they used to be friendly entities but got corrupted and have since gone insane. As for the slime, I feel like the reason it looks different on each level is because we're seeing different species, each of which finds some environments easier to live in than others. Sometimes we have multiple species on the same (or similar) level, as shown in Level 94 where the slime in the house which APRF used as their base of operations was brick red while the slime that appeared in front of Rosemary's house had a copper colour. Similarly, inside of Rosemary's house, we had a more fibrous-looking species appear in that "warp room", and near the end in Lavender's room it was different in texture and colour, suggesting that it's yet another species. The different species of slime also seem to behave very differently as well, as evidenced by how nothing seemed to happen in that one party room in Level Fun vs. what happened in the cathedral room this guy went through on Level 188.

Well looking into it too deeply either the wires that are controlling all other native creatures that live in the rooms or they all co exist. I think Rosemary's "still one of them" message is the fact that she partly retained her self control. Also the other children or at least take the form of small children not to shock the Camera-Man to better communicate (they still have no faces) are trying to undo the whole mess. The original APRF team was butchered without being able to fully tell what happened all intentional. Meh just my head canon, the creator doesn't seem overly interested in a narrative save for showing 3D locals.

You give each new location the time to give the audience a proper impression of its atmosphere, safety, and attention to detail. Truly spectacular. I think you should do a take on Level 9: Darkened Suburbs This is still my favorite Backrooms level of all time! What I love about this entire level is how unbelievably relatable is it. This is something you could easily re-create in any suburban neighborhood setting at night, and that just makes it the more chilling. Perpetual darkness with a VERY chilly and disturbing ambiance. It’s a mostly infinite suburban hell scape that seems safe at first glance, but it most definitely is not… Can you imagine the inhumane sounds you hear in the pitch black? You try to seek refuge in the seemingly safe houses, but you soon learn they are a false sense of security. If there aren’t entities in them, they are either locked or in such disrepair or empty it isn’t worth going in. REMEMBER to stay out of the roads and stay near the scattered, flickering street lamps that hum ominously. Sometimes you’ll pass a small park with a playground set. STAY OUT!! They may seem like an obvious hiding spot but beware, the chilling screams and growls echoing constantly throughout the air seem to be louder now. The tunnels and cavernous walls of these jungle gyms are teaming with nightmarish creatures of the night and they for sure have heard you…. Your best defense in this level is your own two feet and not staying in the same place. All the while you find a makeshift weapon!! It’s all about survival now!!!

I think this level feels so nostalgic and full of unreachable desire. It makes the cameraman feel so small, so there are many gaps and openings that are impossible to reach and will never be seen.. It also feels like a disco party except there's nobody there and you got sealed into a small slippery tiled room with just water. If some *thing* is there, you might slip, but ultimately, there is still no way to escape... maybe those unreachable gaps? I still can't describe it, I don't think this emotion exists yet. Anyways, great job as always and appreciate your dedication!

I’m definitely lost in the hyperverse! 🤩 It’s crazy how good you are at you craft. Even if I have to wait and sometimes waiting is hard, which is just a proof of how great and skilled of a creator you are. I admire you so much, you are my top favorite backrooms content creator. Thank you so much for your hard work, everything you create is a masterpiece!!!!! I think Neon Springs is one of my favorite levels of yours along with Playtime Palace. The attention detail, the constant tension and fear mixed with fascination with how beautiful the places are (totally agreed with the deceiving aspect of it). So, so gorgeous and mesmerizing but so lonely and uneasy. Your imagination seems to have no limits!!!!! The storyline has me on edge, I have more questions than answers this far but I’m so intrigued and invested. What happened at the encounter with the entities? They didnt kill him… why????? Also, our guy finding the flashlight gave me a mini heart attack…. I don’t know what to make of it yet. All the drawings are putting me on edge. The weird-shaped slides threw me back to Playtime Palace and I loved it. At 23:00 I was like “God knows I would try to break that glass and escape”, but we all know it’s a cruel illusion, if it was that simple, right?? Poor guy… And yo, that last cliffhanger scene????? CHEF KISS. Your videos are simply delightful and addictive to watch. Waiting was worth it. Thank you! ❤️

Plus, you could narrate a phone book, and I'd listen to it. Now I just know you want to do a teardown of one of those pink neon stars. Since the light chases around the border, we both know they're actually LED's. Somehow, I doubt that they're made in china... What anomalous backrooms power do they run on? It caught me off guard! Thank you so much! I am now assuming our protagonist is on a rescue mission? Why did the monsters not kill him? Where is Cleo? What did the face mean? Why is that thing making stuff float? Who is writing the messages? Obciously it saved the guy from sliding into the void. Is Lavender pulling shenanigans? Maybe it’s the craving for the impossible, the ridiculous need for these places to become real because they are gorgeous and atypical. Places like these don’t exist in real life, but wouldnt it be amazing if they did? I am so in love with this series!! I’ve shared it with both of my siblings and gotten my SO hooked on it, and this entry is another masterpiece in a succession of masterpieces. The way our cameraman moves through the environments is so expressive and physical, like you can feel the weight of his body as it leans around corners and jerks back in surprise. He checks around corners, he second-guesses himself, he sighs longingly at slides he can’t use, and the way he takes the time to lean back and marvel at the beautiful things the comes across, I just!!! There’s this sense of wonder in how he looks at these worlds, like there’s a fragile joy in him despite all the fear and danger. He doesn’t feel like a camera on a track in a digital space, and even though he rarely speaks (only once I can recall) he feels alive. You are an incredibly talented artist, and it’s a privilege to be able to see your work and progress.

This is THEE best backrooms video i've ever come across and i am confident with saying ive spent hours endlessly watching backrooms videos on KZbin, countless times. First off; the aesthetic!! I have felt empty because even tho i love the backrooms and many of the videos out there you can find are relaxing and uplifting- this one has everything in it i have always hoped to find. Second: the detail!! I was very impressed with the reflection of light/s on the stairwell walls and its railings. Made it feel very real and imaginging how hard OP worked in this, makes me appreciate the video so much more for that reason. THIRD: i am 3mins and 51seconds into this video, i had to pause it to write this because of the excitement and respect for this video and the person responsible for it :p EDIT: i forgot to mention the music!! The music chosen for this was spot on, it really reflects what im watching. The ambience of it all is mesmerizing. If i knew for a fact, that I could die and end up here, I'd do it myself. ALSO: KZbin should be paying this content creator more. This is the only video I've found on KZbin (as a whole and I've used KZbin for a hell of a long time) that has convinced me to actually go ahead and purchase KZbin premium for the purpose of watching their videos, uninterrupted.

It's reached a point in my humble opinion that Lost in the Hyperverse's adaption of the backrooms is now more so it's own universe in the multiverse of eerie incredibly unnerving, uncertain and unpredictable horror. This is story telling of independent yet cinematic quality is in my opinion beyond Kane's version of the backrooms adaptation just because this person or team has made this alternate dimension so beautiful and welcoming, it's similar to Hawaii or a type of Paradise but with something sinister lurking in the shadows. Bravo. I genuinely stopped my work shift to watch this exclusively. Hope I don't get fired! Masterclass tier! Aloha from a Hawaiian citizen. 🌺👁️‍🗨️

I think you absolutely nailed the environment. The lighting, textures and models all blend so well with eachother, creating a warped feeling of an indoor waterpark. I loved the creature designs and think they were animated uncannily and otherworldly, which follows the feeling of the rest of the series. My favorite moment was towards the end with the writing on the walls and floors with the neon lighting leading to the flesh amalgamation towards the end, super cool room especially after the sequence with the monsters, probably my favorite 5 minutes of the whole series. I think this is your best work so far, which is a hard task to beat already, and you can tell how much passion and effort goes into these videos. Great work man, keep it up. - ඞ

man this is SOOO INSAAANE (also nice bg music and sfx, the sounds have an AWESOME quality!) honestly, you are the best backroom content creator and this is certainly your best video, I can see all the care and effort put into each prop, each handrail with its reflection, the glow and fog hitting each object in a specific way, all the beauty in creating a dreamy and mystical space, you know? I imagine the thousands of images that you searched for inspiration and the hours of thinking in how to create this places, with all the design choosing, props, palettes, etc. I really appreciate all your work, it's really STUNNING, seriously I could pick up A TON of frames of this video to use as wallpaper! Absolutely loved it! You clearly have a detailed gift for rendering graphics and creating a storyline. My hope is you will continue creating more Backrooms videos. If you do not then compile them into a single downloadable digital video (in a way that does not require I have a KZbin account) or set of DVD's/BlueRay's and I will be most happy to purchase them all. You see, the only reason I purchase such things is with the intent to be able to watch them over and over again when there is no access to internet. I also make such purchases because I liked them so much that I plan on watching them over and over again. Please make more. You are by far my favorite creator of Backrooms videos.

At first I'll say, I know almost nothing about Backrooms, I just love horrific things. I was bored one night before going to bed and accidentally stumbled upon these episodes in youtube recommendations. I started watching only from the middle, and here I am, fascinated by your work! Great job, that's what I say! I (personally) like this strange feeling of anxiety and emptiness. Huge locations and rooms with elements of endless oblongness (buildings, corridors, pipes, stairs, skies - it's everywhere, somewhere far, and they are endless, coming from somewhere and leaving to nowhere and it makes you feel creepy from the realization of this), abandoned and forgotten, dusty and dirty places, (sometimes there are traces of a struggle, which scares even more), there are elements of danger (a camera man constantly examines the abyss, holes and the sharp edges, and the abyss looks back at him, eagerly waiting for his careless step into its mouth). There is no one around - and you are completely alone(?..), you are lost and wandering among all this in search of the right way out. You are able to choose only one way, and in the process of exploration you look longingly at other corridors and doors, wanting to explore them too, but you realize that you can't, because someone invisible but tangible is hunting you, and you can't stay in one place for too long. Pleasing combination of peaceful places filled with some kind of life (architectural structures with flowers! What a charm!), and dark, gloomy spaces. Surprisingly, the anomalies do not cause any concern, they are... just exist? They look like some kind of big chaos, still captivating. If the anomalies would somehow threat the camera man (for example, with sharp movements, creepy sounds, growing, trying to touch the camera man). It's a little difficult to learn the story plot since I'm bad at english, I might just skipped the explanation why they don't really do that, sorry! Time with entities appearing is very well chosen! You don't overdo, but you also don't make the moments of respite too long, you keep the observer in suspense, this paranoia haunts not only your main character, but also you, the observer. What if someone suddenly shows up and chases you again? This place is calm and seems safe, but it is really safe? Not to mention about the fact that you make soundtracks, it's stunning and very talented! ^^ To sum up, I want to say that all your efforts are not in vain, and I am very proud of how you continue what you like, and you improve from series to series. I'm looking forward to your next work, keep it up!

I'm about two weeks late, but I finally got the chance to watch this just now. Past few months a lot has happened, but I still get excited for these videos every time and its nice coming back to 'something familiar' ykyk backrooms n shiii Honestly, somehow I seriously thought our guy was gonna be killed off like that, when the thing attacked, but there were still a few minutes of footage left, so that was a relief. Also love how, when the flashlight turned on again and that face with the "forgot?" came, my dumbass read it as 'f4ggot' so that was funny But anyways, bro has immaculate surviving instincts, cause that ONE slide he doesnt take, ends up leading straight into a dark pit. I would've totally taken the slide and I also expected cameraman to take the slide😭

that got scary there for a moment lol. But you get so caught up in the beauty of some of the levels, like this one, a person can almost forget that they're not in a beautiful place... and then suddenly it gives you a reminder of where you are. It's almost like a trap in a way. Not going to lie, if I got lost in the backrooms, I think I would have a hard time not being mesmerized and maybe that's bad XD but anyways, thank you for your work of art. Everything is so detailed and thought out. The lighting was great too. I always get drawn into your videos. Great job! I always look forward to your uploads. This entire series is absolutely amazing!! I was hooked from the very first episode you created and the fact it’s only one person creating these beautiful projects is insane to me. You deserve so much credit for all the hard work you’ve put into this project! This episode by far is the best artistically executed, the rainbow reflects from the water, the neon ambiance, the silver flecks from the tiles, even the dang palm trees absolutely stunning. Like I said this entire genre you’ve created has impacted us all in such a positive way! Keep up the amazing hard work! PS I think we should get a part 2 to the ‘Lost Dreams in Neon Springs’ this storyline, creativity, artistry, plot, graphics, immersivity, is needed for a much longer episode!

Your series never looked better ! (It was about time that the MC finds a flashlight and a better camera lol) I was already convinced that your modeling skills of environments where top notch, but you somehow managed to reach another level ! Also, showing your improvements in this environment that resonates so much with The Poolrooms episode (the one that made me fell in love with your series) gives me great hopes for this New Year ! I'm wondering : are you also making the soundtrack that we can hear in the background ? Because in that case, bravo ; it fits the heaven-like visuals perfectly. I don't know if I said this in previous episodes, but the way that you create beautiful, yet deceiving, environments works really well for the scares ! I just wanna say that you can still improve on the animation of the creatures : you could have used their "tentacles" as their way to move, just a suggestion for maybe future appearances. I also thought that you would end the episode on the discovery of the decaying creature as a cliffhanger, just like you did with the clown in the Level Fun episode ! Before finishing, I'm glad to annouce that, in my book (I talked about it in a previous comment, on a post), I finished writing chapter 1, and all the general ideas for the rest of the chapters are written down (woohoo!). Anyways, Happy New Year, Michael ! I wish you the best for 2024 !

Hyper, I want to thank you. From the bottom of my heart. You spent countless hours crafting these environments in some kind of engine, in between the machinations of your life. Sculpting dream-like scenes complete with a soundscape of your own design. Beforehand ruminating about where you should take the story. Each episode is released roughly 4 months apart from each other. It takes time, effort and mental energy to present these stories to us in '90's videotape style format. You clearly love producing this and I, I really love watching this. I deeply appreciate the end result and have come to view this as a seasonal treat to consume. If anything, take these words to heart and know that your work is watched, is captivating and dives into an essence of the human dream. (As a side story, I know that it takes time to make backroom footage, so I rely on reminders marked on your channel to catch the next upload. However this time you randomly popped up in my mind as to how you're doing so I visited your channel, lo and behold there was the reminder that a première was about to happen that very day. Somehow, after four months, I guessed the exact day you would be uploading by pure coincidence!)

DUDE!! this is amazing really. i can't express how incredible your work has been thus far, ive been following this series since you released the grassrooms episode and it just keeps on getting better. im not even a backrooms fan fr but this? takes the cake! because it's so unique. first of all the scenery in this series is just SO breathtakingly gorgeous, beautiful, haunting, i could go on for hours honestly... the grassrooms were surreal. i particularly liked the place where rosemary saves us from lavender it's so ethereal and pretty.. and neon springs is the best aesthetic ever. very nostalgic even tho i wasnt born in that time lol. and the plot! there's actually a plot!!! and it's a good one too like ive never seen so much work put into a backrooms series n im hooked. the cameraman is great bc his personality actually develops through the levels which we love to see. rosemary and the rest of the cast make great characters, esp the clown in the playrooms level that looked creepy but was simply a lonely soul UGHDHFH i love this series to death. btw never stop the sass in your CCCs they make me laugh esp when youre snarking at the haters. keep up the good work man youre an inspiration. much love. btw just throwing these ideas out there but i think levels based on a victorian style train (locomotive) station or cruise ship would be interesting.!! edit: greek ruins/palace would be cool as well

this series is amazing. this and the playpalace videos are probably my fave of these faux backroom exploration videos, the environments you make for them are just wonderful. the shininess is so neat, there were times and mistook it for something moving in the background and i'm still not sure if it was intentional or just a literal trick of the light. i do think that the extra grain (aided by shadows) on the play palace ones made the camera movement a little less... odd? LIKE the movement as it is now adds a lot for character to our silent protag - also, how you line up the sounds of his movement is prefect. i do think it must be hard to do perfectly realistic camera movement, and i'm not super versed with this stuff, but the grain and how that simulated camera handled light in the playpalace vids i feel made the movement feel more believable, making it a little less obvious when things are a little too stable or the movement a little too smooth. this ones a little *too* crisp at times to believably be a camcorder, and it doesn't hide that it's not being moved by a human as well. that may just be preference, however.
