With all the roots I would've done thee bulk of the cut with an excavator and used this set up for the final trim,a nasty beating for a small machine to endure

No harm to the machine: the slopeboard is well braced to the c-frame lift assembly for the main blade. It's being used as it's designed (except I had the hydraulic cylinder for the slopeboard mounted wrong with the hoses and fittings in harm's way). You have to operate carefully, you can get things bound up or put too much force out at the end of the slopeboard. More worrisome is kicking loose some massive rock from above and getting it wedged between the cut bank and the machine. Or worse.
