"It's about minus 20 or so, it's not bad." Reminds me of stopping to give someone a lift in Alaska, they were walking along the road a good couple of miles from the town dressed in ordinary clothes. There we were in the car, multiple layers, full ski gear and we nearly froze just opening the window to ask him if he needed any help, it being so cold. "Cold? Thanks but I'm fine, this is shirt sleeve weather."

Snow is also very good for water absorption too. Used to use it years ago when trapping beavers to dry their pelts off after pulling them from the water. Just pick up a couple handfuls and wipe it back and forth across the pelt and it’s dry.

This brings back memories, but instead of a skid steer it was me working hard enough to take my shirt off while shoveling snow and instead of an excavator working midwinter with grapple it was me in the summer working for $5 an hour and a free lunch. 😊 These toys are wonderful, but only if you remember how much work they really do. Oh, now you're showing them remove snow from a roof too! The whole idea is you make a big enough pile to fall into while you're clearing a roof so you have a safe place to land when you slip! I hope you have kids and at least show them the poorer old ways too.😂

On our well we needed a "torque arrestor", a rubber bushing that fits around the body of the pump and pushes against the sides of the well casing pipe. If you don't have one, when the pump turns on the inertia of the rotor will spin the pump body the opposite direction, which can twist off the wires or pipe!

Just a heads up, that pump will fall off again. The vibration over time with the aid of gravity will cause that coupler to slip and the pump will hang from the wires again. I’ve recovered pumps from the bottom of wells when the pump fall off and the wires twist up and break. In the states, the industry standard for submerged pumps is to use Schedule 40 PVC and thread everything together. Hope this helps!

Not a problem with freezing pump when the ground water is 4°C. The cabel should be taped better and would recomand brass fittings for better longevity. Also disconnecting the top and using a reel is an easier way of pulling a pump. Looks like you have a lot of sediments in your water, try asking a welldriller for plugs to get rid of the problem.
@bjorncarlsson62953 ай бұрын
It was well that you connected the wire! I remember that you said that the wire wasn’t really nessesary, in the video when you did the reinstalled the well. It was enough to lift the pump in the hose, you said😉

A friend of mine told me he had a lot of issues with iron deposits on his well pump in Piteå. And he measured the voltage between the pump casing and the ground and could see a voltage potential. That caused an electrolytic process causing the pump to draw iron to it. So it might be an idea to remove the earth for the pump, or at least measure it. But if it was just sediments, then it might not be an issue.
