Someone has to build smart water pump to fix water wastage. Many homes run their water pumps until their tanks filled and overflown which accounts for a lot of water wastage

there are already alarms that tell you that the tank is full. They only cost 500-800.

Bruh. This is 9th grade science experiment that would only cost 100 rupees. But there are alarms cheaper than 500 rupees that do the same

I think there are a lot of problems with this business. Firstly, the lifecycle of one fan is easily 15-20 years on an average. People don't find the need to change their fans. Fans can never be made cool enough for the customer to upgrade it. And even if someone's fan need to be replaced, it is difficult to make customers see the value atomberg fans bring over the years. And finally, I don't see the competitive advantage that the company has to be sustainable. With all the resources that havells, crompton has, I am 100% sure that they can replicate the technology and make similar products if they feel the threat. This is just my opinion.

You are forgetting one important factor. I'm a late millennial and I do not hold the same value about usha, crompton as a person who were born in 80s or 70s. I know the brands but for me and gen z I think we know much more about atomberg. I have replaced my whole 4 fans at my home with atomberg for the last 2 years and I think for the young generation, they have already created a good branding. So just like Nokia, even the giants can be knocked out if technology was introduced with a better twist. I think usha, and crompton are already very late that there's little they can do anymore to regrab the market they lost.
@bniharsaiasheesh3023
@bniharsaiasheesh3023 6 ай бұрын
@@chairpants I am also suggesting the same thing. You chose atomberg because of their technology which can be replicated by other brands within a span of 5-6 months if they try really hard. And also I am curious, did you purchase new atomberg fans because the old ones did not work for some reason or you wanted to have new technology?
@DaniShams
@DaniShams 6 ай бұрын
Partially agreed. The reason that it is difficult for (most of the) residential customers to realize the value that the product brings over the years, Atomberg pivoted to B2B sales where they could easily show the ROI and sell the product in volume. This also ensures their post sales revenue by selling SLAs to these customers which is not possible with the residential customers. But definitely the competitors will catch up to this technology so Atomberg has to move fast and bring more meat to the table. But they can easily slide in other new products to these deep pocketed customers as they gain reputation with them hence growing revenue through their new product line.

The life cycle of ceiling fans is indeed around 10 years, but this is also the reason why Atomberg is introducing more products like mixer grinders and other home appliances. Also, money isn't the only competitive advantage, if that were the case, most incumbents would always stay on top, as they tend to have more resources. Instead, what we have seen, startups with a fraction of money and team sizes disrupting big segments.

@@bniharsaiasheesh3023I purchased atomberg because bldc was new to me and I was reading the review about their electricity bill. So I just tried with one and never regretted. Just like the ad said I no longer have to run to turn off the fan because of the electricity bills. 3 bldc fans can literally run for the cost of 1 old fan. We use Crompton and Usha and all of them stopped working after 1-2 years so I no longer believe in those brands. But atomberg is going strong for almost 3 years and they have created this image for me that I will surely purchase their other products in future without a doubt. USHA lost it's brand value already. Crompton looks good but they are cheaply built inside that I had to repair my fan 4-5 times in just a year and threw it away after buying atomberg because it was really terrible. For us young generations I think atomberg is as big of a name as Crompton or Usha. So I guess they will do good if they keep up the quality.

This is what ola Is doing wrong they should have mastered 1 sku and then should have expanded whereas the company is looking to increase there sku's more and more without mastering any 1 of them which could pay them a heavy price in future if they don't take preventive steps although I really want them to succeed in each and every category hoping for their best

Its simple to get revenue by losing money. I think we must highlight both revenue and profitability. At the end Revenue feeds the Ego but Profit feeds the Family.

In terms of the pricing, Atomberg is on the higher side. But its features like energy saving and smart features make it a tough opponent against other players.

Replaced all 4 fans at our house 2 years ago with atomberg. The electricity bill is half now. My father was against buying fans from online but now he has also replaced all his shop fans with atomberg because of the bill lol. Go ahead buy it but be careful not to operate it during lightning as it will get destroyed easily during lightning. But there service at my place was really great. They don't ask much question and comes as soon as possible to repair (needed to use service only one time as I no longer operate it during thunder and lightning)

I’m using atomberg fan from past 3 years and also updated old fans with new BLDC fans. They are energy efficient + IoT automation like sleep mode and timer features of atomberg are game changer. The hardware is so far great but the mobile app is still crapy and sucks.
