Agreed. I can pick up on Backstreet’s arrangements easily whereas *NSYNC’s were more complex…I bought the vocal music sheets for both groups…*NSYNC took longer to learn

actually, *NSYNC did a lot of 5part harmonies even for uptempo songs. Their a capella and ballads are buttery smooth and heavenly. But yes, *NSYNC danced legit! and influenced sooo many dancers of my generation just as JT did solo. Vocally though, *NSYNC's harmonies are insane and they cover a wider spectrum. A higher counter tenor and a loooow bass.

Agree.BSB lacks the very deep bass that the NSYNC had with lance.Kevin is good(my fav in bsb) but they dont really showcase the bass like NSYNC did.I like bsb songs more but in terms of harmony,NSYNC is better IMO

BSB rules! I hate to say I'm 65, but they are the best. The early "I Want It That Way" got me hooked early on. They really can sing, especially AJ and they also can ALSO dance very well. Alex, AJ's voice is IT for me, but they definitely all can sing. Backstreet's Back, and all songs great, but love AJ in "incomplete." I'll give NSYNC Bye, Bye, Bye, but BSB all the way for me.

I see the comparison to TLC and Destiny's Child. N*SYNC was my favorite growing up because they were more performative and it's impossible to deny the band was geared to JT's pure star power. He's BoyBandBeyonce. But maturing as an adult, I've grown to appreciate BsB more because of their collective talent, vocals and ballads. Each member generally gets their own clear contribution to each song.
