My favorite thing about Adam's videos is that he doesn't give a 10 minute speech to start the video-just dives right in.

Adam - Absolutely awesome. Arms & hips fire, chest stays back. Won’t find that anywhere else on YT. Makes perfect sense. Pure gold. Thanks. Jim

This is exactly what I’m working on. When my swing goes south it’s inevitably my chest turning through along with my hips. Great vid Adam.

Adam, please follow up with this move when using wedges and less club head speed. The 30-80 yard pitch shots and how the hands go through and covering the ball and how the chest works with the hands. This is so important. The chest hanging back and allowing the club to go through cleanly with room. Sorry I missed you at the TPC San Antonio, wish you would come back and give a clinic here. I live near by. But please follow up with a slower more deliberate swing with wedges and how to do this. Thank you! Also a very short 20 yards and less wedge shots where there is hardly any effort but straight straight shots. No pulls or pushes. Thanks again.

Any tips for a person with a large chest? It’s a challenge to find space and not being too steep
@johnsheehan64843 ай бұрын
Hi, does the downswing transition happen before you reach the top of the backswing, meaning would you start shifting your weight forward and start the rotation of the hips which then the hands drop in the slot? Thanks

I take lessons from Jim Jones at Lake of Isles, so it's cool to see him work on his swing with another professional.

Adam how do you set up the second ball drill?
@PorzakGolf3 ай бұрын
The second ball can be placed in a 45 degree angle. When you transition into the downswing, have your chest feel like it stays pointing at the ball
@neilrober3 ай бұрын
OK, I'm confused. The arms/hips fire but the back stays to target? How does this not lose arms/chest connection?
@PorzakGolf3 ай бұрын
The arms starting in the downswing ahead of the chest keeps the hands in front of the center of the body… spinning out with the belt and sternum going together, causes the arms to fall behind and leads to a variety of things such as coming over the top and swiping across it
@PorzakGolf3 ай бұрын
Think about it like a horse race as well… sternum inside horse, hands outside horse… the feeling of them going first and faster actually keeps them connected, hitting the finish line at the same time
@neilrober3 ай бұрын
Thanks Adam. I get a variety of things. 😉

@@PorzakGolf fantastic video. I have the problem of upper body going too early/fast etc.. I had been told it was shoulders, but maybe it is chest. Practiced what you have talked about here. How do you vary that second ball placement visual, for shorter irons/wedges vs. driver for example? Thanks so much for a reply.
@georgiapeach26473 ай бұрын
Hips, arms and hands fire, chest/T-spine stay back. Where in the sequence does the chest/sternum/T-spine start to rotate to follow through with the hands ??

Hello! Did you happen to find out? I’d like to know also, thank you!
@jalalalap-akalalaАй бұрын
It will just happen, but you dont want to feel it happen. Let your hips take the club to the ball
@azcharlie2009Ай бұрын
Yeah, try getting your hips to do that when you're 77...
@PorzakGolfАй бұрын
@azcharlie2009 …And if you were 77 years old and in front of me, I’d work with you in a way that work for you. But Jimmy is in front of me and not you, Charlie…so I’m simply making the person better that’s in front of me like I always do! But there are small things you can take out of it and do it to a degree at which you can do it and I’m sure you can improve based upon that
@azcharlie2009Ай бұрын
@@PorzakGolf There's probably a ton of guys my age would love to play as well as I do. So, I hate to be a pessimist, but... The fact is, when you get old, your body will no longer do what you want it to. When that happens, the game is no longer fun. If it ever was..... Ha, ha! Enjoy it while you can.
@PorzakGolfАй бұрын
But that’s what we’re here for …we would cater a session to you to make it more fun and get you hitting it the best you possibly can!
