This was my second session in the Roces UFS 5th Elements and boy oh boy do they feel amazing for grinds. I went to my favorite ledge and did all my standard soul and groove tricks. I can't remember locking on better or feeling more solid on grinds.

Hey Lawrence, I am a former aggressive inline skater (late 90s - early 2000s) and an avid youtuber. I honestly don’t know if I have ever commented on more than 2 or 3 videos in my life and I just gotta say: Keep it up! I have loved following this channel. You are very positive, encouraging and so real in these videos. It inspires old geezers like me to get back out there and try it again after 15-20 years. It isn’t just about the skating (which is really getting solid by the way), the true inspiration is in encouraging people to do what they love, not care about what other people think and not being afraid to try new things (or olds things anew). Keep doing what you’re doing my man!

Was talking to the Roces people at Winterclash, they said the new 5th is even wider than the old one. They had to widen it to get it to fit the Valo plates. Old trick for stopping liner sliding around is the thin rubbery stuff they put under carpets to stop them sliding around.

Rob Harrington has a video of how to stop heel lift, which could work for the sliding too. I think he put lines of silicone on the liner to make it grippy.

Remember when the first Fifths hit the market, I think most people I skated with had a pair eventually. I had a pair of black and white ones, then painted them black with white laces. Yall might remember Petty and Julio and Jeff Fredrich and all the skaters who had these. good for farfigs. Are they like they were back in the day.

You seam to be shredding in these even more than the vii. I wish they made a shell one size larger. My foot is 295 so I couldn't ride them even with intuition. I'm sure I could but it wouldn't be comfortable.
@Flingumusic
@Flingumusic 4 жыл бұрын
You need to size down one size. I got a real wide foot Aeons in 43 were hurting a lot. Got the US 9 (42) in the 5th Element and they were really tight at first but after two sessions they feel really good. Never thought the would give so much space compared to the first time I tried them on.

what size shoe do you wear ? in US size ? I have to purchase fifth elements online, just trying to get an idea of what size to get. Im a US 10-10.5, left foot slightly bigger than right, any help ?! THX
@Flingumusic
@Flingumusic 3 жыл бұрын
shoes always 9,5US, left foot also slighty bigger. I ordered a US 9 und 9,5. The 9 felt really tight at first, but the 9,5 was way to big, got too much space in it and had to tighten the cuff to the max. Was trying both at home for a few hours :D and went for the 9. You can always try a thinner liner if the small shell fits your feet
