I would love to take my paddle board back in that place. Love the close quarters topwater action here and that scenery is trippy. The trees look coated in ice. This edit is so good.

I grew up fishing Caddo Lake, it's truly a amazing lake. It's a very old natural lake. They get big in there! black and blue jig, frog and Rapala 3 piece does it well in there.

Caddo is my home lake and I literally grew up on it. Love the series! I hate to tell you but there are NO crabs on that lake. 🤣

Jon you NEED to do an on the border series of lake Powell on the border of Arizona and Utah!! It’s a great small mouth, large mouth and especially striped bass fishery!! Not to mention it’s one of the most beautiful reservoirs in the US! You won’t regret it!

Banger! Pt 1 got me inspired to throw the frog. I caught like 8 on the frog today. First one was 3 pounds and watched him come off the bank and smoke it. Also got my first two bed fish the male and then the female! She was 3 lbs too. Sick day of fishing inspired by JonB!

Absolutely love the videos as always! 🤟🏼 I’m from Acadia Parish here in Louisiana and I will say that crabs in freshwater here are very common! We have tons of ponds and bodies of water down here where massive blue crabs absolutely thrive ! They’re interesting to see when they’re not in saltwater areas 😂😅 Loving it man! ✌🏼

What a great day of fishing. And being a bass fisher and in the aquarium hobby there are a few species of fresh water crabs. It sounds to me that you have have seen fiddler crabs as they get about the size of a crawfish

Jon, these adventure videos are absolutely killer! I would love to get you up here to Northeast Tennessee on a huge multispecies hunt. The biodiversity for fish here in Tennessee is insane. Within an hour from where I live, we have 6 lakes before they merge into the Tennessee River system, and they each fish differently. So, if you need something to do after the Bassmaster Classic in Knoxville next year...

Love this lake, I live in tn and haven't in years but use to make a trip to Caddo almost yearly to fish with friends that were stationed in the military near there, it is also a excellent crappie lake

You're right there are not many places where bass eat crabs. Virginia Beach is one of them. A lot of freshwater ponds along the bay that get crabs and sand fleas. Bass love em! Technique is a lipless crank laying flat on the bottom and twitch it a few times.

Put duct tape around your cast nest 3 inches above the weights and it will make your cast nest turn into umbrella to catch more bait. 🤙🏼
