Just like building a garage / workshop, it's never big enough. A wise man once told me on this topic, "when you finish a floor plan for a utility building / workshop, double the size to get what you really need.

I have a nice similar sized "gazebo" that I keep thinking about turning into a BBQ shack. I am worried about the wood floor though, since I do use charcoal and wood to cook. I am thinking I might need some tpe of fire resistant flooring on top of the decking. Have you had any embers hit the deck?

I like your set up very much, and I hope some day to have my own Smoke Shack. I was surprised that you had the real photography lights there. While, I agree with that putting them up, and pulling them down for every photo session would eventually be a drag, there ought to be something you can cover them with for protection from the elements.

The thing that the color black does in the background (like at the back of the shack) is that the color black absorbs all manner of light that is bouncing around in the shack making it harder for available light to assist in the lighting in the shack. This is why you have to bring all the artificial (very bright) light into it to light it up. If you could incorporate the use 9f something simple (like bedsheets) that you can use as a light collector and diffuser. Anything to bring more natural light in.
