Carlos, you need to try a regular American Persimmon Diospyros virginiana (after fully ripe of course) if you're ever up north or east around mid October - early November. If you eat them at the perfect time, they're amazing. My favorite American fruit. If you do just make sure you consult with someone familiar with American Persimmon. The Asian persimmons in grocery stores ain't got nothin' on the American kind (flavor wise.)

Cats will keep squirrels away. They will not venture into your yard and cats will keep out rats and mice from damaging your trees and plants.
