Pitt made some mistakes today. That first Mountaineer TD was a blown coverage. The late targeting foul was avoidable. Reid has to get better help with his runs. All that said, Holstein is a baller. The kid can play with some suspect protection. If both OL and DL sure up, Pitt could contend for the ACC title and a trip to the expanded playoff. We may even make some noise too.

Eli Holstein is going to be a stud if he keeps playing like he did today. That dude has some grit and plays the game like it should be played (hard nosed, blue collar, all business). It seems like their whole team does as well. Mark my words, IF, AND I MEAN IF, Pitt plays the rest of the season like they did today, they’ll be a problem for any team in college football. A very exciting game that almost got ruined by some very questionable officiating. Not about who won or lost the game, but just the ridiculous number of penalties during the game. Holding calls at key times, obvious targeting penalties not called and questionable ones that were called??? A good group of officials will hardly be noticed during the game, that horrible group yesterday were the talk of the game by both teams.

Great game though wv head coach an defense coordinator are scared conservative clearly led to loss. You up by 10 4 minutes left in game.
