@@AP_allday I'm talking about 23. He red shirted because he was buried on the depth chart. But the insider word was he could play immediately, his true freshman year. I think he's better than our backup Ty Simpson, so it's a shame he didn't stick around to try and win the job next year. Pitt must have offered him a nice NIL check.

Eli Holstein looks so composed as a freshman. The guy, despite having on protection from his line, still ran for 59 yards. The way he executed that 2 minute drill for the winning score he looked so calm, very Tom Brady like in the way he was ran that two minute drill. Three games in, and I have been impressed. Yes he still has room to grow and get better. I said this about him if Nick Saban recruited him, then you know he had something special.

Eli Holstein is going to be a stud if he keeps playing like he did today. That dude has some grit and plays the game like it should be played (hard nosed, blue collar, all business). It seems like their whole team does as well. Mark my words, IF, AND I MEAN IF, Pitt plays the rest of the season like they did today, they’ll be a problem for any team in college football. Some of the past Pitt teams have overlooked opponents and lost. If these group of guys want to be great, THEY CANNOT DO THAT.
