Don't need net have their wings clipped

Hello Vance, We clipped their wings the day we put them in the chicken run but its been about 10 days and they are literally trying to fly over the 4ft fence already (little lop-sided). We seen a video about clipping wings and the video said not to do it until the chicks are about 16 weeks old as any earlier (ours 5 weeks old) and they are in a huge growth spurt and everything, including feathers grow back fast. I just need to keep them in the run until they reach egg laying age and then try to catch them again and clip their wings again at 16 weeks but these Leghorns are known for flying and even in to tops of trees. They are a flighty bunch but I knew that and thought we would nip it in the bud at 5 weeks BUT that isn't working too well. Thanks for the contribution!!!
