@ 4:58 Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a species of Hibiscus probably native to West Africa. In the Caribbean we use it for teas and a traditional (served cold) Christmas drink known as Sorrel.

VeganAthlete That thai hibiscus is called 'sorrel' here in Jamaica. We 'draw/brew' it in hot water along with ginger and a little pimento. then we cool it and add red wine and sweeten to taste.. we have this at Christmas time!
@benspatoisgarden59827 жыл бұрын

@RachaelBally7 жыл бұрын
In Trinidad we don't add the pimento, we boil the (deseeded) sorrel with bayleaf and other spices eg nutmeg, cinnamon. We then let it cool, strain, and sweeten the brew. The boiled sorrel pulp that remains is used to make jam, it is boiled some more then blended and for 2 cups pulp add 2cups sugar.

when you're vegan you have to constantly eat to make up for lack of protein
@xmetalgamerx7 жыл бұрын
You'd probably be surprised by how little protein we actually need. On a SAD diet, people eat far more than they actually need (about twice the daily requirement), and even vegans sometimes consume a lot more protein than is necessary, without even trying. Also, I am a vegan and do not constantly eat to make up for any other common nutrient deficiencies. I simply eat more plant foods that are nutrient-dense enough to supplement anything I'm not consuming through meat, and take my daily vitamins and iron tablets. Been living this way for about a year, and so far it's been pretty simple.
