We ended up making a last minute trip to the grandparents farm. Trace and Warden helped get all the hay cut and bailed before the rain.
We always love getting to see Papa Bill and Jane Jane and all the relatives.

I think a Catio would be nice for Maui. The front yard looks nice. The lights and fire pit turned out nicely as well. It’s a whole vibe out there with all of the mature trees. The farm does seem peaceful. Lots of work though. I’m glad that you all could help your grandpa and momma Jane.

I love the way Lydia always seems to have a cheerful attitude. Proverbs 17:22 says a cheerful heart is good medicine. And it's right. Lydia's cheerful attitude always brightens my day. The two of you truly have a Christ like attitude. ❤ Have you thought about maybe having the side yard around to the back you fenced in with a tall wooden fence the cat would be able to roam and not get out?

It makes my heart glad when I see how a couple loves one another. When Lydia looks at Trace, I can see the pure love in her eyes for her husband. I can tell this couple has a pure genuine love for each other. And both of them work hard together as a team to make things happen in their lives. I built a catio. It was so easy and the best thing that I did for my cat. I used hardware cloth for the sides and was so pleased with the outcome. I leave the screen open so she can go in and out on her own. You will be so happy with that decision

Definitely a catio for your kitty. He’s had so much change, that would be something just for him-other than the robot litter box. And like you said if you made it portable, you could take it with you. I’m sure Trace Bates CONSTRUCTION can figure this out 😊

A cat run is a awesome idea and super easy and cheap some old timber chicken wire and pegs and plastic for a roof. Easy to put up and down great for rentals.

Every time y’all start a new little project, it makes me think of stuff that would be such a good idea. My suggestion those remotes are so easy to miss place. I would stick it on the wall with a piece of Velcro if I were you that way you know it’s by the back door you can always turn the lights on and off and you can carry it outside and put it in your pocket.

The cat coop is a great idea. We have coyotes, bears, etc where I live...lots of people do this. Also, soooo much cheaper to just build a storage space than buying premaid

My boyfriend built our cats a catio in the corner section of my house attached to two windows so they go between the rooms and the catio. They LOVE it! I would say they spend more time out there than they do inside. It took about two weeks (working on it weekends only). It's a big project but it's fairly easy if you know what you're doing. I say give it a try because Maui will probably love it.

I love the idea for a catio for Maui. But you may want to make sure that it can keep the window locked up so that nobody can break into your home easily through it. How wonderful it was for you to go to your grandparent's farm to help out. The 4th of July, 2013, was the day that my Mom went home to be with our Lord. we built the catio outside a window that slides open to the right, not up and down, so we put a piece of wood to block the top part screwed in to the outside, but it was a family room that was even with the patio ( no steps ) so it was just built up again the house with wood frame and chicken wire, you would need to build a gangway to access the cage

My Son was born Sept 24th and is still really warm ( in Southern Ky) he won’t need warm clothes til he is size 3 months. The place looks awesome.
