Lovely garden. Would love if you could do some wider shots of your garden so we can see how the whole thing or larger sections look.

What a wonderful little paradise you've created! I've tended a very cultivated fruit & veggie garden for years, but want to move more in this direction. I'm going to be checking out all your videos for inspiration!

What a great video! In northern California we have a rare fruit growers association that has regular plant/cutting swaps every year. It’s one of my favorite times of year, I can always find a new rare edible fruit to try growing!

I am hoping you will also do your garden tours over time to watch your produce and plants mature...Enjoyed your video.

Great tour. Are the bees ok next to the alley which is next to the neighbors? What is the general rule of thumb?

The county came out and told me where I could put beehives but the bees leave the hive and exit straight up for the most part so they aren’t really at human level for very long.

Great garden! I love chicken runs. You could put up hoops around the orchard trees to grow the understory guilds in the chicken runs.

How do you deal with mosquitoes with so much moisture or do you even have them?
@ParkrosePermaculture4 жыл бұрын
I do have them. I find they aren’t a problem on the duck pond bc the ducks eat the larvae and it’s drained frequently. Because I have mulch and water is channeled via swales, I don’t have standing water. Mosquitos are a problem in our area, but I don’t have any places for them to breed on my property.

Curious as to why you got chickens rather than higher egg producing duck breeds like khaki campbells or indian runners. I love the whole setup and obviously they are well-loved pets now, but looking back, would you rather have gone with just ducks?

I just found your channel and am loving your videos. I am wondering how long the full chicken run is. If you've said that before, I apologize, I know it's 1/4 acre but wondering how long the back is so I can compare the size to my backyard.

What would you recommend for Japanese beetle? Milky spore or neem oil

I'd like to see more about your duck tub set up. How do the ducks access the tub? Which.of the tub's openings are you using and are you blocking the unused openings and how? I have thought about using a bathtub for my ducks, but would like to see a functioning example first.
@ParkrosePermaculture4 жыл бұрын
Yes I will definitely do that we built a ramp out of scrap wood. The initial one was too steep ducks really need a gentle slope. I just use a regular bathtub plug.

Tyrannical HOA can be tough. I've got to find a place without one, or I won't buy it.

8b!! :) honestly, it’s a real sweet spot for permaculture. You can grow sooooo many things. We struggle with fungal diseases in our rainy climate though.
