Very beautiful result. I had never heard of rain chains/kusari-doi until your video! They are a beautiful idea and I am thinking of ways I can add them to my garden. (One thing:-Beware of the asparagus fern. It can grow out of control and become invasive in the garden. ) Thanks for sharing your renovation journey…

I would put the potting table anywhere other than on that tile :).....glad you went with DG and not pea gravel much easier to walk on, pea gravel is round and hard to get traction.. they act like ball bearings! The rest of the projects should allow for water to percolate down so should be a permeable surface if you are treating run off properly, you want to avoid channeling it into the drains in California...You could have still stayed in keeping with the Eichler aesthetic by putting larger format pavers in 1/8" dg .. the water would percolate down and tie easy with the dg paths...Another water saving practice for California is to install a laundry to landscape gray water system.. no permit required, low tech, no pumps or filters less that $200 in materials .. and your trees and shrubs get free year round watering every time you do your wash... better than water catchment for Califonians dont need to store it .. citrus absolutely love it
@galastudio9 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your constructive feedback, reusing the gray water is definitely something we haven't thought of, i will take a deeper look into this, i wonder how automatic it can be. what is thoughts on the potting table, why not on the tile, would you like to elaborate a little bit? thanks!

Great job: Silicosis is an occupational lung disease caused by breathing in small particles of silica dust. Inhaling this dust causes inflammation which over time, leads to scarring of the lung tissue. This causes stiffening of the lungs, which can make it difficult to breathe.

hahaha Thank you! more to come
@katiecannon81868 ай бұрын
@@galastudio9 Well, you took that with good humor. Go find yourself a good native plant nursery. You have a lovely garden area, natives will bring in bees, butterflies & birds. You’ll love your garden even more. Add Old Fashion (not dwarf cultivar) Pintas & Salvia, and you’ll have a wonderland of beauty. Get rid of the asparagus fern 😉
@galastudio98 ай бұрын
Sorry, my bad! i didn't mean to reply this, i thought i was replying to another comments last night. I did a little research just now, and you are right, the foxtail fern is actually invasive, we didn't know it! the wiki said their tuber root will suffocate neighboring plants, no wander the golf ball pittosporum we planted in that area weren't growing as much as expected
@katiecannon81868 ай бұрын

Hello Sir and Madam from India, I love watching your videos. I feel calm and peaceful whenever you share your videos about your backyard and garden. One thing I think can be changed is that instead of putting "subtitles" you can use voice like the one in this link kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqe7ma1_a9Z4nbs. This is another youtube channel I like watching and think that voice over subtitles is more convenient to understand and live in the video without any bottleneckness. I do apologize if my comment may have hurt you. I appreciate all your videos and efforts you put in creating blogs. I look forward to more of your garden.
