Hey man, I would like to give a little constructive criticism to your install here. I work with low voltage equipment almost every day for my line of work including Sonos and I can tell you that there were a few issues with what I noticed. 1st, the gauge wire that you are using to drive your speakers seems severely under rated. The thicker gauge wire means the better the speakers are going to sound. So I would recommend replacing those thinner gauge wires with 16/2 or 14/2. 2nd, while the Sonos amp is technically able to support and play music through 4 speakers the best quality is going to be found when only using a 2 speaker setup. When you have 2 speakers compared to 4 you can get much better volume control because the amp isn’t dividing the power between so many speakers. Hope this helps!

I noticed you mentioned you needed some more bass for your outdoor Sonos system. We sell a weatherproofed Sonos Sub Gen 3 by a company that makes electronics to be waterproof. It only needs power and wifi. So less wiring and less running conduit involved. 2-year warranty too! I hope this helps. Cheers!

Really helpful video and like the honesty, I think for the price it should sound better and the way Sonos operates thru the app it’s not my fave but o well lol they got me

Hello… You can add up to 4 speakers there. If u use the SONOS speakers u can add up to 6 speakers. It’s an epic amp actually.

Have you looked at the Sonance Patio speakers? Also, what are your thoughts on just using two Sonos Moves instead of the Sonos Outdoor w/ Amp??? I think the price is crazy (especially since these are passive and require the Amp … and apparently per your comments, the base is not good). I have multiple Sonos speakers & the Sub inside; the Sonos outdoor is seeming less and less appealing.

Great video and great presentation. We have Sonos products that have been rebuilt for outdoor use that only require power and WiFi. A lot less ditch digging, conduit, and wires. Would love to collab on a video with you. Keep up the great work. Cheers!

You have to catch them when they on sale. Most of the time they sell for 899.99. After the amps became hard to get the price went up. Also get the 8" Sonance for better low tones.

Heck yea! At that price it’s a no brainer!

Need advice… I just added the Sonos amp to my system, previously I had my Sonos arc sound-bar HDMI into LG 77 C2 arc TV port, after adding the amp, the arc port on the back of the amp can I run the arc cable from the amp to the arc sound bar bypassing the TV?…. when I put an HDMI cable from the amp arc port to the TV arc port …I had echo sounding speakers over each other…. they’re not synced….any thoughts …the amp is driving ….two external Polk audio in ceiling speakers… when I added the amp I set it up as stereo, I can control the in ceiling speakers with the app…. So I’m most concerned about is whether or not I should keep the arc sound bar connected to the TV arc or connect the amp arc port straight to the sound bar bypassing the TV, that’s what I would like to know, any thoughts?

Did you end up adding a subwoofer to this system? If so which one?

Do you have your speaker wire threaded out of the of the J box and down through that pvc?

You can actually daisy chain the speakers so you can have more than 2😊

Nice video and review. Thanks. Quick question, Can you control the volume of the rock speakers independent of the sonance mag6 speakers? I assume both pairs are connected to the same amp? Just want to know if the app allows you control volume (not choice of music) per speaker / speaker pair?
@boxiii3 жыл бұрын
Great question, in this setup you would not be able to adjust the volume individually. To do that, you would need 2 sonos amps. 1 for the rock speakers and the other for the sonance patio speakers.

@@boxiii Thanks for the reply. I think I saw your other video on the in wall volume control for your garage/house, and how you wired it up. I am thinking of doing that setup as I just cannot get my hands on another sonos amp (and its too expensive anyway). Can you please advise what in wall volume control you used? Maybe share a link or the name? I want to buy something I know already works! Thanks so much!

From what distance Sonos amp can be operated using your phone? I'm planning same setup by my distance from amp to speakers will be atleast 50-60 ft
@Ryanf5502 жыл бұрын
They both (AMP and Phone) need to be connected to the same network/wifi. So as long as you have wifi you can control the AMP. So no Bluetooth.

Is there a way I can add a microphone to the sonos amp?
@Ryanf5502 жыл бұрын
The Sonos AMP has a line in on the back so you could get a preamp for the mic and then run it out of that into the Sonos AMP. There is a min 75ms delay on the Line in audio so just know that.

Hey Enrique! Thanks so much for watching my videos! You’re English is actually very good! I personally like Bose products. They seem to have a great sound and bass range. I remember testing out the Bose 151 outdoor patio speakers and they were inexpensive but sounded great! I hope that helps you!
