Hey, wire harness designer here, you might want to change the tape you used on the underhood zone to a Coroplast 835X or something similar, you used vynil tape, that's the lowest class for abrasion resistance and heat resistance.

My husband is such a Audi Fanatic. Specifically the b5. He’s tore them apart and rebuilt so many of them in the last few years. We’ve been having so much fun watching you’re videos. The way his face lit up after seeing your video of the car starting was absolutely priceless. Thank you!

@BackYardBoyz I knew from the first day the wire harness needed to be fixed , it never needed a replacement. Same as the bonnet, rather than replace, it can also be neatly panel beated and welded or glued neatly. The car is such a machine ❤

Love how resilient you are, never give up💪🏼💪🏼, the fact that you only drained a little under 2 quarts of oil out the engine was a little worrying for me, hope all is well with that engine.

I’ve fixed main harnesses like this before, just stagger the solder joints in sections. Takes a dumb amount of time but it works. Edit, later in the vid you did solder just didn’t stagger. Good job.

The fact that you fixed that wiring at that level is impressive! Even you thought it wasn't possible and flew out to Seattle to buy a harness only to realize that they were not the right ones and broken. I bet when you got home you were thinking ether spend 9k on a new one or fix it myself! And you were like FUCK it I have to fix this one! And you did! Congrats! I'm impressed! I don't remember seeing any other Car KZbinrs fix wiring like that! I'm subscribed now!

Good job fixing the Rs7 . One tip as a Audi tech . you should used black fabric tape instead of regular black electric tape on that wiring harness with heat of engine bay that stuff melts and gets all gummy it sucks to wrap wiring loom .

good job, but it is worth improving the cable bundles with a tape that will not rub, e.g. tesa tape 51608. insulating tape is not made for this and a fire may occur.
