for steering wheel check the fuse box in engine compartment, inside should be multifuse and it could happen that you have blown fuse for steering wheel, i hope this helps ;)

Resetting the srs ecu will fix the steering problem. Had the same issue myself. Audi cuts off the steering when crashed. Loving the builds.

For the steering wheel, there is a wire harness underneath the car close to where the rear right suspension got busted that links to the steering wheel module. Probably the folk lift ripped it or pulled it, it's made in a way when pulled it disconnects from th steering module.

It’s a pain in the a** to work on the front suspension of an Audi. They love the steel bolts into the aluminium knuckle, but corrosion wasn’t a thing for them. Although you got really low mileage regarding with what we’re used to in europe so it was easier to come off. Keep up the good work

The red steering wheel light and stiff power steering means you have stored crashed data in the power steering module. B2000 and/or B2000F, I had the same on the crashed Audi TT 8S that I rebuild. There are 2 ways to fix it: replace the steering rack or reprogram the eprom. I went with the first option. It was easy replacement and I didn't have to do any coding after that.
