-Button mushrooms: 500g, cleaned and roughly chopped
Butter: 50g
Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped
Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
Fresh thyme: 1 teaspoon (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
Fresh parsley: 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
Cream cheese: 100g (optional, for a creamy texture)
Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
Salt: To taste
Black pepper: To taste
Walnuts or almonds: 50g, toasted (optional, for added richness)
Crusty bread or crackers: To serve
