Have been assigned for work to both cities. Both have pros and cons, but if I were to choose which place to live , I'd choose Iloilo City. It's very progressive. I mean not in terms of the number tall buildings or malls but in the way of life. People there were a lot more disciplined and refined. Kahit sa pagdating sa mga drivers sa kalye at mga pedestrians mas disiplinado mga taga Iloilo. Also, less homeless people in Iloilo compared to Bacolod na kahit sa mga plaza nila maraming natutulog. Investment in people is a huge factor not just investment sa infrastructure.

You should visit Iloilo city. Right now Iloilo city has the tallest building. The Teranza Residence that has 33 floors. other than this there are many other tall buildings, the Injap tower, SMDC, SM Strata, Megaworld, Ayala, and many more. There are many infrastructure projects coming up, 5 years from now we will see what Iloilo will look like. FYI; it's not just in Iloilo city but in metro Iloilo itself. On the other hand, bacolod is also a fine city. But from what I observed, most of the buildings there are usually not that tall but horizontally build.

Seems the video is clear that Iloilo city is better than Bacolod city. I’ve visited both cities and to me Iloilo has a lot of high-rise buildings, wide roads like diversion road, bike lanes, lot of hospitals, river esplanades, modernized jeepneys/electric jeepneys, etc. And PANAY RAILWAYS from what I heard will get revived soon

Just an FYI: Ilonggo refers only to the people of Iloilo whereas bacolod is bacolodnon/Negrense. The language of both cities is Hiligaynon so just to correct your comment 👆It's "Both are Hiligaynon Cities".

Dahil yan cguro na mas bago yung city ng bacolod kumpara sa iloilo kaya napagplanohan yung lapad ng kalsada. Malapad yung bacolod at kalat yung mga development. Yung mga kasama ko na taga cavite akala nila ibang bayan na yung napuntahan namin kasi may sarili ng mga palengke , fire station, police station, at iba pang mga establishment pero barangay lng pala ng bacolod. Iloilo was never left behind in fact it takes the lead in western visayas in terms of infrastructure projects (ICTSI and PANAY RAILWAYS for example) You can visit again Iloilo so you’ll see the difference between the two. However, being a provincial center is not a disadvantage because it seems like there were more invenstors investing in Bacolod City. Nag visit ako last week sa iloilo. Both cities were great and booming. Pero mas na amazed ako sa Bacolod kasi napa progressive talaga. Maraming gusali at malalaking malls at mas Maraming vehicles both public and private compared sa Iloilo. Mas traffic at mas urbanized compara sa iloilo.

Did you roam around the whole city of Iloilo? I’ve visited both city and Iloilo have wide roads, river esplanade na napakaganda. They also have electric jeepney and modernized jeepney, they are now trying to phase out all old jeepneys, and lots of highrise buildings. Off the top of my head I think the highest building now in Iloilo is Teranza residence it's a 33- storey building whereas Bacolod, I don’t see any of that except just their malls

@@blessedthang yup sa iloilo kasi nag poproces ng papers ko kasi mostly lahat ng regional offices andyan sa Iloilo. Hopefully ma pursue na ang NIR para d na kami taga Negros tumawid sa Iloilo. Nag roro am ako ng ilang beses sa Iloilo progressive din sya pero d gaya ng Bacolod na mas urbanized at traffic kasi ang daming vehicles. Bacolod govt is trying also to face out mga old jeepneys.. In fact madaming modernized jeep ang bcd. I don't think Terranza is the highest building in Western Visayas knowing 2 to 3x na nag ka deperenya ang lupa dyan sa Terranza kayat gumuhu ang Lupa. Iloilo has the widest road cguro which is the diversion yun lg po d gaya ng Bacolod daming wider roads as a whole.

@@blessedthangwag ka mag tikal dinha, iloilo only has wide roads in megaworld, rest is so small. Bacolod is better than iloilo because bacolod is greener, cleaner and has more space for investments than iloilo and most of all ilonggos are tikalon 😊

The tallest building in Western Visayas is the Teranza Residence located in the city proper district of Iloilo. Bacolod on the other hand, most of the buildings there are horizontal build which means the buildings are wide, not tall

FYI, Maybe the downtown Iloilo, but not the whole Iloilo .. That is why iloilo has the best urban planning moving the development in manduriao at hindi mawawala sa mapa ang Manduriao.. Just a REMINDER, hindi lulubog ng tuluyan ang mga nasabing city.. sa Hightide lang po ang basihan nyan.. So wag mong sabihing lulubog dahil hindi hightide araw2x. Thank you.
