What comes to mind would be mixed rice being displayed over the food shelf for hours. Oh dear.

0:08 that nasi padang/mixed rice is from Indonesia lol, it's common here in Indonesia to eat food that's been left out for hours, especially when the food is sold in buffet style, but other than that it's also common in a household to cook one time in the morning for the whole day and reheat once or twice during the day. Or in a diner, lots of different kinds of foods are cooked in the morning and being sold throughout the day. It's common practice and noone seems to ever has any bad effect from it. The same with veggies, I usually dont care even if it's been left out on the table for hours as long as it doesn't have nasty smell and still smell like fresh. I guess that's good enough indicator for me, even a slightly funny smell I won't eat it. There's also fried chicken that can last for about 2 days, no different in smell, taste and appearance, and no poisoning after eating it. I guess because the ingredients and salt probably 'preserve' it in some way. It's turmeric that's known to have anti microbial properties. It's kinda the basic ingredient used in most fried food in Indonesia. That nasi padang probably also has it. Smell is good enough for me to detect whether the food is safe to eat or not. And pizza, a one day old pizza hut unrefrigerated/no reheat is still good enough to eat for me, never have any problem, taste is also still ok xD the ingredients are mostly preserved stuffs anyway.

Know of someone who used to have his own food catering business. He shared that sometimes the culprits are not those working in the kitchen but the food deliverymen.... Cos some of them will slack and go to coffee shops to drink coffee instead of delivering the food asap... Leaving the food in the stuffy van which can cause bacteria to grow... 😮😮 Thats why my frien quit that business... Uncooperative staff

If I may ask the doctor man.... If I re-heat my once upon a time fresh food...will that decrease the bacteria?

Larah Anselm bacteria is not the problem, it’s the toxins they produce. Even if you kill the bacteria the toxins still remain.
