I got this. [high five]. Episode 15 is called the summit, and I think it has this title for a few reasons. One, it refers to the literal summit of imperial leaders. Two, it’s about how the bad batch have to infiltrate the summit of a mountain on Eiradu. But also, this is kind of the bad batch at their summit as a family. They’ve never been closer since Crosshair left, and now they never will be.
But before we get to the rough stuff, we open on Pabu, where the batch is going through the files that echo brought them. This is how they find out that Hemlock is going to a conference on Eeriadu, that is the home planet of Wilhelm Tarkin. And I gotta tell you, I’ve been reading that name for years, and it’s great to finally know how to pronounce it. I was very excited to finally see this planet after it was featured so heavily in the novel tarkin and a few issues of the recent Star Wars run.
This planet is filled with savage creatures, and Tarkin's people are kind of like spartans. They value the hunt. Every child is sent into the wilderness to kill one of these beats to become a man. Tarkin even sent his protege, Zahra, through this same experience to prove herself to him.
Their plan is to attach a homing beacon to Hemlock’s shuttle, similar to what the empire did to the millennium falcon in a new home [you're sure homing beacon..]
But the hunter has doubts about whether it's worth saving crosshair [clip]. One thing the show has done pretty well this season is showing a character slowly change their mindset over several episodes. Hunter has been reluctant to fight for a long time. He noted the big score to create a home for omega episode 1, and now he’s tempted to let crosshair die and stay on Pabu.
Ironically, it;s tech who has the softer heart [he’s our brother, we do this]. Tech has always had a hard time processing his emotions, like he and omega discussed [clip]. But he has always been loyal to his squad, because he sees family in binary terms. You either are family, or you are not.
And then…Phee gets a little flirty-flirt with Tech? [clip]. I mena, I ship it. Oh, wait. [tech falling, arms wide open]. To be honest, I had a feeling tech was going to die this season. Any time you start to spend a lot of time with a charter, it usually means they’re gonna bite it. And this season has been great for building up tech. He was a fun character in the episode faster, his bond with omega made him open up emotionally-and they also wrote echo off the show, so we no longer had a guy with similar abilities.
Above eriadu, venator class star destroyers are in the atmosphere, escorting V wing starfighters. Nwo these are still the same ships that the republic used in the clone wars. The empire hasn;t replaced them yet, because-as we're about os ee-0 they're still working out how to fund all of the emperor’s bold new initiatives.
Dug: which is silly, because money is an inherently fictional concept , and they live in a totalitarian state.

Fun detail i noticed, during the POV trainwreck escape you can tell Hunter is carrying something. Didn't occur to me what it was until he hands Omega her bow on Ord Mantell. They cared enough to grab her weapon and the animators cared enough to show it.

Techs death was heartbreaking but showed that there are real consequences fighting against the empire. Season 3 is going to be just as dark and I can’t wait to see more mature themed Star Wars series.

The writing needs to improve greatly, ever since Omega join them, they have become really, really stupid. Why did they go back to Cid, the one person who they know can't be counted on, who also threatened to turn them in, yet they go back to her? No, having Omega around has somehow diminished their overall tactical sense and has just made them Dumb as rocks!

And if protecting her was such a priority, they wouldn't, again, go back to the one person they KNOW THEY CAN'T TRUST! Just admit it, Dave Filoni ruined these characters by bringing a child into this group, especially since this show isn't watched majorily by children but by young and mature adults.

The shot of Tech falling with the train car falling after him was so beautiful and devastating, the way the camera lingers on the shot but we lose sight of Tech so quickly. He's there, then he's gone. I would also throw out for speculation that I read somewhere that Jango Fett apparently had a sister in Legends, so it's also possible that the scientist is her or a clone of her, rather than a clone originating from Jango. I kind of doubt they'll go that way, but that would be an interesting angle too.

It's far more likely Omega and her sister have nothing to do with Jango Fett. If he has a sister, what's the point? Jango was chosen as the template for the clone army because of his skills as a soldier. The template for scientist clones should be someone who's also a scientist.

It's funny that you referenced Spock's "needs of the many" quote, because if they end up bringing Tech back, it will be just like bringing Spock back after his noble sacrifice. You're kinda happy he's not gone, but it weakens the impact of his sacrifice.

Personally I think the effect of the sacrifice is the immediate reaction it causes, so it's effect is still valid. What they do afterwards can be _just_ as effective if done right, ie: how the character changes after the event, how it effects others, etc. With Spock, the movie was literally saying "He's not dead" before you bought the ticket and the status quo returned to the usual afterward, so, not the best example of "doing it right."

While it's likely that Tech is actually dead, given the Advances Science Division is involved, there is a chance (never tell me the odds) that Tech may be clinging on to life on one of Hemlock's experimentation tables. And as he found Tech's goggles, it's not unreasonable to assume he found Tech too). Wishful thinking? Perhaps. But I always was a 'glass half full' kinda guy, so I'll be waiting for Season 3 with baited breath...

This finale felt like Game of Thrones: You had Tarkin, a calculating ruthless old man like Tywin Lannister plot the destruction of his enemies. Sid was a traitorous slimeball like Warden of the Riverlands. And Tech got killed off tragically like Rob Stark.

Doubt Tech died. He still had his reusable grappling hook gun they showed him use, and probably used it to slow his fall but lost his goggles on the way down. Echo was thought dead in a similar way, too. No body shown, and the villain cryptically saying "this is all we could salvage" which could mean "this is all we could find, but I want you to think he's dead to take advantage of you."

premotion hemlock is responsible for death troopers, tech is not dead, no body no dying. the settings of the episodes and plot pretty much "where the eagles dare". tech hanging on the railcar was similiar to jurassic park 2 the lost world.

My dad knew Tech was basically my favourite clone of the bad batch (him and Hunter are my number 1’s) and he liked “warned” me before I watched it. I said I was scared for the batch, and he said “you should be lol”. I screamed so loud when Tech sacrificed himself, and I was basically crying, and my mom was like “why u so emotional, it’s just a character, my god”. I like angrily and devastatingly said back “HES MY FAVOURITE AND I LOVED HIM” I miss Tech so much. 😭 Otherwise, loved the finale and story, so so heartbreaking tho…

One thing I noticed was that the bad batch uses stun weapons on other clones, which has been brought up before, but they have no problem killing conscripted soldiers. They shoot them, throw them off of things, basically, just murder them whenever they can. Edit: eventually the video got there 😊

I definitely don’t think Tech’s gone-gone solely because of the line “This is all that was left” when Hemlock showed the goggles. Tech was wearing Katarn armor and is a fleshy meatbag. For the only thing left after his death be something that was more secure thanks to his helmet makes me call bullshit

Tech is not dead. You can know it by the fact we never saw the body. If in a movie or tv-series main character dies without showing the exact moment they die or the body later they are not dead. Even Hemlock himself reveals that the goggles was the only thing they found so they did no even found the body or he was lying about it but what would been the point. Him falling and disappearing to the clouds no way confirm him being dead. You can compare this to the death scene of Kanan Jarrus there was no way he did not die in the scene he died, but Tech's "death" scene does have way too many things open for him to come back as his death does not fill the parameters of a death of a pivotal character in tv-series. You always show you don't tell in that media. Its a great scene but Tech is not dead.

Saw didn't even get what he was trying to accomplish to eradicate the high up memebers of the empire like Tarkin, and his actions made Tech (we assume) die in the process. Stupid saw guerrera indeed.

If he's dead, his body should be there, it's now a corpse, so it can't just get up and walk away, he's definitely alive. Though, I kinda wanted to see Crosshair as a Cyber-Enhanced, phase 1 Darktrooper but a Sniper/Marksman variant, as he would be but I guess that would be too predictable, Turning Tech into one seems less so I guess.

I see a slim chance that Tech is still alive. The carrier is heavier than him, so he could grab it and soften his impact by jumping off, taking the impact of a dozen or so feet rather than hundreds to thousands. It's a low chance, but it would make for a great rescue.

Echo can interface with computers. Tech can tell him which computers to interface with and why. Very different. Tech was a swiss army knife and key member of the team. He was not redundant. Also got them fake id's. He was just the "everything in general guy". He was very useful.

Freaking called it! Now we just need to wait until Season 3 to find out how exactly they are sisters. Is emerie a clone with acelerate growth? Or is she the biological daughter of Jango Fett? The latter might make more sense since Jango is considered the ' Father ' of the clones. That would technically make Emeries ,and omega sisters like how boba is the " brother of all the clone.

1) Missed opportunity in my opinion to use the Wilhelm Scream when the Bad Batch and those Storm Troopers were shooting at each other from rail cars and one got hit and fell out. 2) Episode 15 felt like a reference to the movie Where Eagles Dare, a commando infiltration of an enemy stronghold high up in the mountains accessible only by suspended rail cars.

You got the Mount Tantiss staff mixed up -- there's two women on the staff (that we know of). Emerie Karr is the clone -- they've never referred to her as a doctor. Dr. Scalder was the female doctor that Hemlock instructed to take Omega to Emerie in this episode AND the one we saw on Tantiss (in the season 2 premiere) and she was also on Kamino for the season 1 finale. Scalder is probably Pershing's mom.
