Kang isn’t afraid of doom lol they didn’t even have that plan when majors was casted. I hate these clickbait theories that thrive on revenue. While ignoring the legal troublesetc

There is NO goddamn way Thor Ragnarok is the "high watermark" for the MCU. You hate the IKEA joke in Eternals but Ragnarok is 85% that IKEA joke. Sure Eternals has a few jokey moments that undercut serious moments, but Ragnarok has 10x more jokey moments and 10x fewer serious moments. Don't play, Ryan. That's a wild take.

I am so sad that the Kang story line was pruned Doom could have come back as well…. But the stories that were thrown aside by the P.C . Culture… frankly R.Zegler is more detrimental to the Disney brand than Jon Majors ever could have been I’m so tired of everything that has political infiltration….. keep it up and nothing will ever be fresh, daring or artistically interesting and innovative again that has any value to the arts

I thought it was funny how Jinx wanted to give her a symbol by giving her the finger, but instead she just had a closed fist(because of hermissing finger), which was the symbol Zaun chose at the reunion with Vander's statue.

I looked at this movie as a set up for something later on, like black knight and adamantium. These characters were not meant to be core pieces of the next Marvel phase. That’s what I took away from it. Kind of like a prequel that came first. Thoughts?

A series focusing on the Great Lakes Avengers with HEAVY Midwest aesthetic and charm, slowed down tempo, but with major overarching tension and some big action scenese, in a Coen Brothers style calmness would be noice.

Uh oh. I think doomsday maybe in trouble. I watched y'all's video about the eternals and how it suffered a bit from having so many characters and not giving them enough screen time. I think doomsday could have the same problem unless they make doomsday a movie about Dr. Doom's origin story and then bringing everyone else back in at the end and secret wars.

I agree with a lot of this video but I think the biggest reason these movies have flipped is they are all " message" and no substance and that's always a dangerous road.

Eternals would have been great if they just had hired better writers. With both the MCU (tv shows and movies) and Star Wars my belief is that Disney has a writing problem. The characters lack motivation, it is always action driven to the point that the plot doesn't make sense, there are typically in continuities and power imbalances that don't make sense for established characters. It's sort of like, thing A happens, then thing B happens, then thing C happens, then we forgot that bad guy is actually bad guy, and nothing ever really feels consistent because they care more about the wow factor. I felt this strongly with Agatha All Along. For The Eternals, it felt like they were telling three different stories with two different bad guys. It was just way too much story for so little movie and again, it really lack follow through, things felt plot 'devicey'.

You hit the nail on the head. Marvel/Disney is corny corny corny, but lots of fans want nostalgia and many-- not all-- respond terribly and aggressively whenever Marvel tries to do something new. PLUS making newmovies is much more expensive than making new comics. Maybe Marvel made too many story arcs but it's going back to the most conservative aspects-- already familiar faces... blah bah blah...yawn... thats not gonna bring in new people...

I think that the biggest issues has been too many people want to re-experience the End Game feeling with so many connected characters and storylines, but forget how many years it took to get to that point. I have enjoyed all the films that have come out, and really like that they are trying different things to appeal to other people and groups. Not everything is a film that will watch multiple times a day, but still enjoy watching the entire content of TV and films before each new installment.

Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed that his Doctor Doom character in the upcoming Marvel movie "Avengers: Doomsday" will not be a variant of Tony Stark. In an interview, he mentioned that Marvel Studios' head Kevin Feige brought up the idea of playing Victor Von Doom, and Downey was impressed by the character's complexity.¹ Downey emphasized that he's playing Victor Von Doom, putting to rest speculation about Doctor Doom being a Tony Stark variant.² Fans had theorized that Doctor Doom could be a variant of Tony Stark from another universe, given the similarities between the characters. However, Downey's confirmation dispels this notion. The movie, scheduled for release in May 2026, will feature Doctor Doom as the main antagonist, taking over from Jonathan Majors' Kang. It's worth noting that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has explored the concept of variants and the Multiverse, leaving room for creative interpretations. Some theories suggest that Downey's Doctor Doom could be a precursor to another threat or even a heroic figure saving the Sacred Timeline.³
