Bad Boys For Life is by far my favorite one in the franchise. As you stated the story made sense and was solid. I laughed so much in this movie, and for me the funny elements were more effective because they took time for the characters to have human moments. So when the jokes flew it was a necessary relief and hit differently. Bad Boys 1 is the next best. The only thing that was annoying was Martin playing Mike Lowry and Will kind of being sidelined. Bad Boys 2 was cool. It had fun moments...Régie Scene. But it was a music video. They played the same Nelly song at least 4 times in the movie and it was like they didn't take time to hire someone to do the score so they just payed Nelly once and spent the rest of the budget on explosions and slow motion shots of Will Smith. They made up for sidelining him in part 1 by overdoing the Mike Lowery element. I feel like the shortchanged Martin in part 2. Bad Boys for Life have equal story to both key members. It found a way to introduce new characters and make them work. They also tug at the heart and the twists and plot turns were actually unexpected. Genuine surprises.

I was 13-14 and went to see it 5 weekends straight with different friends. Everytime they didn't want to see it but was happy forced them to at the end. And Val Kilmer was robbed. Overall... this was a great piece of damn Cinema. I have to say that i disagree with the ranking. I think this is the best 1 out of the 3 with the story line and the action. It's the perfect blend of action and comedy. I do wish they would've brought back the 2 other detectives that used to talk shit to them. I also see where the new characters will play a bigger part in the next movie. Since Tango and Cash was already mentioned... i'll throw in Dragnet with Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd also 48 hours with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte both are classics.

Good review. Better movie and to me the best of all. Definitely will be seeing it at least 2 more times. I think that scene is realistic: 1st of all, the scene came after an emotional tragedy, 2nd Will Smith was already on the balcony looking at the city before Martin appeared, 3rd after witnessing this tragedy I don't see a problem with thinking or being in your emotions... that doesn't mean they were really looking at the city... we are. However 🤷♀️ The movie was 🔥🔥🔥
@mzsunny854 жыл бұрын
I re-watched the first 2 films before going to see this one. I think that's why I enjoyed it as much as I did. I loved the fact that the characters aged (as they should) more in this one. Their age has been a background part of the plot of all 3 films.
@tigeruntamed60364 жыл бұрын
Nah fam. Martin seems to have been the only one affected by the old age in this one. Will Smith gets what some grey hair while Martin needs glasses is slow & out of shape.
@mzsunny854 жыл бұрын
@@tigeruntamed6036 Well, according to him, he injured his back before shooting started for this movie and he couldn't work out. So his characters weight gain and all around "slowness" was because in real life he couldn't workout or be as active as Will could.
@tigeruntamed60364 жыл бұрын
@@mzsunny85 It doesn't matter. Why put emphasis on how old they are if only one them actually shows old age? It ruins the dynamic between the two. It doesn't make any sense. Martin got the most shit about being old than Will did. And I don't remember their age being a focal point in the previous films either.
