Classic Bad Brains, something of an anthem, if thats not a Punk contradiction of some kind. Great band, well worth sticking with, they did some gloriously righteous stuff.

247 Spyz who came after Bad Brains, is another band in this vein - a mixture of punk and funk and hints of thrash- check out their version of Jungle Boogie

Got this album on the same day I got Sonic Youth's ''Sister'' album. Who needs the late 60's when you got the late 80's.

@@Sandy-dd4le IT was a pretty cool day, though I can't remember the other events of that day. I think I got those two albums from Missing Link records, which was one out of a few good stores in Melbourne. The late 70's into the early 90's was heavenly for indie rock guys like me.

Great track by a great band. I'd like to suggest an artist for black history month, 'Manu Dibango', who was a jazz saxophonanist, he mixed jazz with the sound of music from Cameroon, tracks by him which I recommend are: "Soul Makossa", "Big Blow", "Sun Explosion". He had a long career and many hits these are some of more popular ones.

This song, and "no time" (tsol) are like some type of stimulant drug (not that I use those - I don't even do caffeine) Regarding interpretation, he's talking about our society. I don't wanna have to go against I (but my society is luring me to do so). And it's generally a rage against our wealth driven society (and the wealth pricks running it). Most of the police ARE thugs. It's their role. It's their job. It's what they're being forced to do. But THEY ARE THUGS - seen it many, many times. Bullies for wealth society. That's it - period. The mugs, which you might not understand, is all the BEER - something HR probably doesn't support. BEER just allows the rich to further their confusion on the rest, and make people lose their inhibitions, which gets them in trouble (marks against you - uphold the pyramid)
