I still think that reguetón being considered pop is wild. I’ve seen it grow from the barrios in PR to now being global. Dembow music viene from the DR. 🇵🇷✌🏼

Both reggaeton and dembow have roots in Jamaica, both are variants of dancehall reggae.

Is not about Reggeaton and Dembow being considered pop, is a direct comparison to Michael Jackson, in terms of the level at which he is globally. Right now an Icon, he is the Michael Jackson or "King of Pop" of our generation, he means in transendence level; and he is saying: "yeah, and I'm doing it with reggaeton and dembow"

You can't base this Album and yes I said Album (showing my age) on this one track... NuevaYol simply pulls you in to experience what I believe is Bad Bunny's greatest project to date. Bringing authentic Puertorican rhythms i..e. Salsa, Bomba, Plena and Bolero to a wider audience with an updated flair ..so to truly enjoy this concept project one needs to understand the political climate of past and present day Puertorican politics, history and culture. also bearing in mind that he does this perfectly by presenting it to us with his authentic flow there is no compromise and not many artists can say the same.. BIGUPS BAD BUNNY y Que viva PR !!!

This is a salsa and dembow mix. Dembow is a music that comes Dominican and is a sub genre of Reggeaton which isn’t what this song is. A song like EoO on this same album is what reggaeton sounds like

Don’t listen to the rest of the album - the themes of anti-gentrification, protecting culture and love of home are will - without a shadow of a doubt- go over your head… Now, if you had family that did speak Spanish and you had a chance to break bread with parents/ grandparents who DID remember puerto rican life and still speak Spanish - it would,i assure you , a beautiful moment to share with them - especially “ Lo que le paso a Hawaii” . But yes sure the drop is lit and production slaps . Jamebond nooefuyull mad mid No cap skibidi skrrrt
