The last cat with bread lives in Russia and his name is Boris. He was born in the streets and as a kitten got to know what the real hunger is :( Obviously, it affected his fluffy personality. Eventually he was taken home and now he has all the food he needs. But still, he always steals food and just can't let it go. I'm sorry he had such a traumatic experience in his life and I'm so glad he won his cats lottery and has a permanent roof over his head. P.S. I know all this stuff about Boris because I've seen a video about him.

I don't know about you, but I buy cat food for the cat and human food for us, bread etc, I don't steal the cat's food and I DO NOT tolerate a cat stealing attempting to steal mine! If that was my cat, it would have been taught a lesson it would, never, ever forget! Both my cats were found on the streets - one in London and the other, Dubai. It breaks my heart when Rambo (the one left to survive in the desert) tries to steal bread - he gets a piece of protein in exchange and a reassuring hug that food, water and safety will never again be in short supply.

He was relatively careful in shaking. But it was definitely the absolute wrong way to convince the cat to let go! Why? Cats are predators who kill by biting their prey's neck! So in the cat's mind the bread was not dead yet, when he started to pull and shake it, and she instinctively tightens her grip on it even more. No harm was done to the cat, in fact she might have even enjoyed it that her owner made her "toy" look and feel like real prey for her to kill it properly. If he had left her on the ground, cat would've used her rear legs to break the bread's neck. But I agree, he shouldn't have lifted her from the ground like that, that was unnecessary. If he wanted his bread back he should've waited for the cat to loose her grip on it. As I said, he just increased her instinct to kill it by trying to pull it from her.

Actually the reason behind why cats do that is very simple, they are completely and utterly bored. When cats get bored because they are not being played with enough and getting to use their playful energy as well as have interesting things to entertain them, they do things like push things off of tables. And they don't have to necessarily be bored long term in order to do that, it could even just be boredom in that moment!🤣 But yeah if someone's cat is doing that then it truly means that they need more attention and more playtime. Very important to their happiness and even physical and mental health!
