Its a miracle its running on 3 year old gas. With the ethanol added it absorbs water which sinks to the bottom of the tank and corrodes up the fuel system as its the first thing that gets sucked up in the line. I used to have to clean my carbs out on a yearly basis to keep it running on this trash fuel. Beautiful car!

Gorgeous!!!!! Don't really sound that bad either. Drain the bowl(s) & tank then fresh gas, air cleaner & oil change, and an hour of drive time w/some highway speed and she'll be fine. Your bowl inlet needle valves are probably stuck open and dumping fuel in the intake, common when sitting for long time. Do the tap screwdriver handle on bowl housing trick and see if it clears up. Replace the plugs after. Or take it to someone to rebuild the carb. Love the car! Absolutely beautiful!!

I don't remember the name or location in the states but a guy with either a car collection or museum collection showed all of the cars stored for display with battery tenders and nothing in the fuel tank but a 50/50 mixture of aviation and race fuel. I was naïve enough that I believed the Buyers of Chad's Builds in the show actually bought the cars. It wasn't until I saw Chad's barn full of all the builds on this KZbin Channel, some time ago, that I realized I'd been fooled. So much for "reality" TV on Velocity. Royal Respect is one of my favorites.

Too late I'm sure, but Ford carbs seem to like to stick the needle and seat so it doesn't close. Pours gas into the engine and it only runs well with the gas on. Either that or clean it out with a fast run up the mountain. This is one beautiful machine, and I didn't even notice the Bug hood until you pointed it out. Second the Drive Time idea, sitting isn't good for these cars and invites the rodents. Look into dealer plates so you can swap 'em.

That is a cool ride. I am with everyone else. Each week feature another car you did and go for a ride in it. I would watch that no doubt. Not like I don't watch anyway but that would be fun to watch. It's probably a gas thing with the carbonator. The gas we have today can't sit in a car for long, before it starts to do really bad stuff to the components that it goes through. Yes I am really enjoying this Chad and Jolene.
