BAD FUEL PUMP RELAY SYMPTOMS

Thanks for discussing the 10 reasons a fuel pump really can go bad. I definitely found out that I have at least a couple. I don’t hear the fuel pump noise in the backseat and I also see that my relay looks kind of burnt. I did a multimeter test and it is clicking, but I hear something shaking around on the inside. I’m going to write this off as a bad relay and buy a new one.

I have Isuzu dteq 4jk1 engine I replaced New fuel pump and now injectors and new crankshaft sensor but still not starting what could be the problem?

thanks for explaining I have a Suburban 2012 it shut down in the road when I made OBD test it gave multiple codes one of them U0073 data bus comunication , P069E fuel pump module control - Mil activation requested , P2635 fuel pump low performance , P0108B fuel pressure sensor B and of course the delay start engine my question where is the fuel valve regulator in Suburban 2012 shuold I replace it , is the fuel pump is broken and need to be replaced or updating online Or I have to fix the bus comunication Bus before to solve the problem thanks in advance .

Fuel pump and it filter is what you need to replace first then test drive

Can the faulty relay blow the fuel pump fuse ? This is happening on my 1990 BMW E30 316i . It got worse and seems like a hard short circuit.

I have an issue whit my fire bronco 1987 they gave 2 fule pumps that external wen I open that key switch they keep on never shout off and I hace code that saide secondary fule pump circuit failure any idea wath this means

I have a toyota sai 2010. It doesnt have a fuel pump relay where it should be as it says on the relay diagram , but it runs anyways. Im experiencing these symptoms but cannot find the relay to fix. Need your help

i have 95’ honda accord and the fuel pump power gets cut off randomly in drive and wont turn back on until after 30ish minutes of sitting. It shows a check engine light but throws no code

@drcoolautofix a relay either sticks open or close. They work like points. " If you know what points are?" 99% of the time when the relay goes out, they stop while open. If they stick while shut, fuel pump will stay on as if the ignition switch is on. A RELAY JUST OPEN AND SHUTS THE CIRCUIT. Please do not mislead people with false knowledge. Do your research and teach yourself b4 trying to teach others

I have an 06 Honda stalling out when i shift gears. I was told it was the tcm. But i also smell gas as the car is in idle after starting. And i jear squealing (high pitched sound) under the hood. I cant find anything specific. I can fix it myself if i know wtf it is. But i keep getting mixed info. Idc im not paying a mechanic hundreds or thousands for something i can do myself lol. I need a diagnosis device. The was hit in the back twice also. Once before i got it and then after. My husband spent off the highway ramp and hit the back. So i actually thought it was the pump. But i also have no leaks.🤷🏾‍♀️

Fuses and relays are two different things. Fuses are smaller with a metal contact and a plastic housing, and are cheap to buy,test and replace. Relays are larger, more expensive,and harder to test. I hope that helps

Best way is to see if the car have chek engine light on and after scaning everthing is clear not before scaning
