I feel like I hate the most that they didn't even try to modernize the aiming or combat in any of the trilogy's games. The weapon wheel is nice but it's still clunky and weird having to stand in place and be in first person if you wanted to use something like the M4 in vice city. Considering how they claimed in marketing beforehand that they wanted to modernize the feel of the games to something like gta v, i just don't get why they didn't overhaul the combat to feel like that game, or even 4. It's not like it would've completely broken it or anything, it was just a quality of life change that would've helped a lot (and modders have done before as well). just baffles me because again these games deserve remasters but they deserve much more then what they actually did.

Honestly colors ultimate is pretty awesome. I’ve got no glitches in my playtrough and the game looks great

Honestly as much flack as Skyward Sword HD got pre-release (and I do think it was a bit overpriced), I’ve gotta hand it to Nintendo since it was a very polished remaster that genuinely improved the remaster. And wasn’t just a buggy mess that clearly needed more time in the oven and better oversight, but was just tossed out by the publisher without any care in the world. These games can be improved in future patches, but first impressions are anything, and just like with Cyberpunk 2077, they definitely failed when it came to that aspect.

I had a few glitches in my Series X playthrough of Ultimate, but nothing like game crashes, and LSD flashes, and freezing. Most I got was the pause menu letters shrinking, park tokens duplication, and a cool glitch where the Jade Wisp turns the HUD Jade colored and translucent.

Oooh, the Tropical Resort remix for the outro is awesome! Great topic by the way! I'm totally onto remasters when it's just that, but ones like these or say the Ratchet Collection for PS3 can just be glitchy cash grabs. And no matter what the intention, I think above all the originals should still be preserved. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not aware of any big studio that's taken efforts to preserve older games and accessories.

So far I have the Switch version of Colors Ultimate and so far, no glitches and crashes. A few flickers here and there.

Example: Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy and Spyro Trilogy. Those are remakes.

Good game remasters are NOT what you say it is. What you described was a REMAKE, NOT a remaster.
