Ok I can actually answer your culinary hypothetical of whose keeping arbys in business and the answer is Inspire brands, YUM foods and the entire fast food industry. Basically all fast food companies are owned by 3 companies or rather franchises though them. These franchising deals basically created a pseudo monopoly for these corporations where they are (not legally speaking) staying out of each other’s way. But an important concept for this is how much real estate these companies then own. But they don’t actually own the land, the franchise owns the land, the major companies just own everything on it, the marketing, the branding, the menu choices, the equipment, and the employees. But not technically the land. This allows them to go unchecked as they can physically be shown to own x amount of space or they can claim the franchisee has it. Now that little arbys shop is worth a little but the land is worth a ton the franchisees want to sell but oops they can’t because if they sell the major brands lose money or have to pay ungodly amounts for exiting the contract. Oh and the fun part, if you’re going to sell you have to sell to someone who wants to be a franchisee. So you have to buy the expensive land, can’t remove the building without incurring massive penalties, the equipment inside is considered stolen if you abandon your duties as they are company property, you own the restaurant but have very little control, if you want out you have to get someone to willingly have no control over most aspects of business, and there can be no fast food places demolished, until someone’s life is ruined by bankruptcy. Oh and the horrible part is non fast food restaurants are going the same way. TLDR: basically fast food companies use places like arbys as ransom over franchisees to gain money

The last one of the English pub, was filmed in the 1960s. It might as well have been an episode of a 1000 Ways to Die. They all smoked. The cars neither had seatbelts, nor airbags. On top of that, the cars had steal dashboards, and solid steering columns (think spear pointing at your chest). And a "crumple zone" to cushion a collision wasn't even a concept ! Even still, in these peoples minds, they were living safe and benign lives, as many lived thru WWII. It was England, which the Germans bombed daily, for most part of one summer (Battle of Britain), and the men, here, in their 40s and 50s, served in that war.

Okay, so the mission in Grant Theft Auto V where you kill the CEO of life invader (the gta version of Facebook) is it insider trading if you buy stocks for the rival company (for got its name, but you can’t short stocks in the game, you can buy stocks though) to life invader in the game prior to the mission? I’m asking if this was a real life situation. What happens in the game is you take a mission to plant a bomb in a phone that the CEO of life invader is about to display to the world at a tech demo press conference on live TV. Then after you plant said bomb you chill at home and watch the press conference and call the phone when he reveals it, and when he answers the phone the bomb goes off killing him (obviously illegal for several reasons). But you CAN buy stocks ingame as well. Hypothetically in that scenario would buying stocks from the rival company (given you aren’t associated with them nor do you work for or associate with life invader aside from doing a murder you orchestrated in game) be illegal? The characters ingame know the CEO is about to die (I mean they’re the ones who killed him) and know their actions are highly likely to increase the value of the rival while decreasing the stock of the other company. And one of the guys who gives the mission suggests they buy stock in the rival. If they were caught in court for what they did with all the evidence for everything they did would they just be charged and sentenced for the 1st degree murder, breaking and entering, using an IED (that’s technically an IED right? It was improvised and it exploded… idk…), etc. etc. all the obvious crimes they committed as well as insider trading? Or would it just be the crimes they did involved in the murder? So, memory vague, but they wear disguises and lose as employers to sneak into the play and plant the bomb (obviously illegal), then detonate it, and the job they took that’s basically all they were tasked with doing.
