It was the last series & in the middle, ATV lost its franchise to Central. Though he vied for the job , gordon ashley said they shoulda called it a day when chris left. On the other side, noel was leaving swap shop, replaced & retitled with mike Read. Central wanted big Daddy to front a kids show, he pulled out, & Sally James said she was leaving,thats all folks!

This is the sort of kid's TV show I remember from childhood; Fun, anarchic and irreverent. Nowadays? Health and safety would be all over it - "Someone might slip on a pie!! Stop having fun!!" They'd probably replace the fun and games with a TED talk on Consent or Trans Rights. Thanks for ruining childhood, society! ☹️
