You see, I caught the Degrassi bug from a roommate when I was living in DC. I have since moved across country and now have no one to talk about it with. Do you know what that kind of lost does to your mind? It shatters it in ways I previously thought impossible. I am a shamble of man I once was simply cause I lost my Degrassi group. The only thing giving me even a semblance of sanity is videos like this, reminding me what talking about Degrassi used to be like. 10/10 would do again

I really tried to watch Danger Next Door when I was on my lifetime binge-I was so jazzed about Craig Manning and his wife because she seemed like an appropriate age for him unlike miss Manuela, but only got about like halfway through it when I passed out. Nothing like a good lifetime bedtime story

@@FrenkTheJoy I think the worst thing about their relationship was that the actors were three years apart. I liked that they kept the actors pretty close to the actual age but in acting out some of the things they did when “degrassi went there” it just made for really uncomfortable situations like Manny wearing the thongs or having an abortion because she was pregnant with Craig’s baby. I’m not saying that stuff doesn’t happen I’m just saying the actor’s age gap made for awkward optics

I don’t get why Shenae Grimes never gets talked about as an actress who broke out in Hollywood. Obviously, not a household name, but she did end up as the main character in the 90210 reboot and having a cameo in Scream 4, even if it was a one scene role. Though I still think it’s cool she got out of Degrassi into Hollywood, which even the biggest Degrassi actors/actress haven’t done. And Shay Mitchell did as well, though she had a tiny role in Degrassi compared to Pretty Little Liars, but definitely cool for Canadian actors to transfer into American film/tv projects.

Yeah, I feel like Shenae was just as successful as Nina Dobrev - both shows were on the CW, both were not great, both just kind of disappeared after the show ended. Shenae does pop up in Hallmark movies about once a year, and even though I always hated Darcy she's pretty good in some of the Hallmark movies.

@@FrenkTheJoyina didn't disappear. She's producing now. Oh and 90210 had 5 seasons compared to TVD 8 plus 2 spinoffs. They are in no way comparable. Nina Dobrev is a household recognized face. Shenae isn't. Nina was more successful

If you're looking for a good Degrassi actor movie, I highly recommend Mistletoe and Menorahs, starring Jake Epstein! It has quickly become my favorite Hanukkah movie (not that there's a huge selection) and honestly one of my favorite Christmas movies too! Jake gives his very earnest "Craig at his best" style performance as a romantic lead, very charming

Hallmark's holiday movies with Degrassi actors are almost all pretty good. I mean in the last few years Hallmark went insane and just threw quality at all their Countdown to Christmas movies so they're almost all amazing now (fuck the colorblindness one, though).

The original poison ivy is less-softcore but still complete melodramatic schlock I would recommend a drunk watch. Also that’d be a great rabbit hole for you to do a video on: the direct-to-video sequels and reboots of the various 90s erotic thrillers… wild thing, cruel intentions, poison ivy, etc, etc. there’s a ton of them and they all have batshit low-budget offshoots.

Not-fun fact about the film Poison Ivy, Drew Barrymore was 16 when the film was being shot. The film attempted to capitalize on Barrymore’s notoriously difficult childhood by casting her as a uncared for child turned seductress. So, you can at least find solace in the fact that you didn’t see the WORST this series had to offer.

Adam's Testament looks like someone saw Constantine and disagreed with it, but still liked the visuals, so they created their own version. One of the messages in Constantine is literally that knowing is not the same as believing. Knowing the devil, hell, and god are real does not mean you have faith. And Constantine tells us that the main premise is that god and the devil cannot interact with humans directly.

A movie with hella Degrassi actors is Sadie’s Last Days on Earth. I had a Munro Chambers Marathon (he’s actually been in a bunch of really good indie movies like Turbo Kid and Harpoon which I also recommend) and came across Sadie’s Last Days on Earth, which I thought was gonna be bad but I ended up really liking it. If you ever do a good Degrassi actor vid I highly recommend those three films, especially Harpoon! Love the content as always!

Hey just discovered this channel. Love your Degrassi content and these vids have been very entertaining! There is a really bad horror movie from 2007 called Left For Dead which might be worth checking out. It features Daniel Clark (Sean), John Bregar (Dylan), and Shawn Roberts (Dean). It was pretty painful to watch!! In all honesty Stacey Farber has actually had a pretty solid career but she did do an odd Hallmark movie recently called Butlers In Love which might also be worth checking out.

Thank you for your opinion on the Sharknado movies. They’re way too self aware of how bad they are. The appeal of awesomely bad movies is they aren’t trying to be bad movies. Sharknado and most of those Syfy originals go out of their way to be bad movies. Also, the shark in the water bit was amazing!

I have a tv Christmas movie bingo sheet and in the last few years I had to change one of the squares to "Degrassi actor". We had TWO Degrassi actors on Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas last year! TWO!
