Cool ! A trip to remember and cherish Mr. Spa Guy. So nice that you got to go on that trip and seeing all that you did and experienced. Even when it didn't go the way you hoped it would have. Heinrich Siesmayer and his company Gebrüder Siesmayer built the spa gardens in the style of an English landscape park from 1857 to 1862. Even after completion, he still came to "his spa gardens" every Saturday to check that everything was in order.

Hey, you have been right - it is a travel agency at Parkstrasse. In these shops you also find the tourist information where they help you out and where you also may buy tickets for the Elvis tour (if scheduled). Once you pass Uranus, the stone reads: “dedicated as remembrance for Heinrich Siesmayer, founder of the park in 1857”. If you would have walked down further the Parkstrasse (you pointed out the "funny parking dots on the ground") you would have come to the "the Elvis traffic light" (roughly 400 yds) (there is one in Friedberg, too btw). There you turn right, next left into Lindenstrasse and this will bring you directly to Goethestrasse 14 (which is on the left-hand side). It's privately owned, and the owners are actually fed up with all the Elvis fans trespassing their ground :). It's another 430-430 yds walk, so just around the corner. The hotel you pointed out "The Dolce" is today a 4-Star Hotel. It also accommodates a theatre and a cinema, also a bar (not in the hotel itself). This year it’s actually 123 years old and was from the beginning a theatre in Jugendstil. It burned down 1985 but was rebuilt "as it was before". So it has been definitely there when Elvis was staying in Bad Nauheim. During the European Elvis Presley festival lots of performers are giving concerts in this very theatre (actually staying here all three days - it’s always Friday through Sundays - and attending the concerts is over not cheap!) - acoustic is btw quite good, center stage has roughly 250 sqm. Walking down the few meters the Terassenstrasse (that’s the quite street at “Hotel Villa Grunewald”) towards the city and you take a left just before main street (Parkstrasse) you may visit the “Holocaust monument”. The park in Bad Nauheim is a split park. 2nd part besides the one you have been in is the one with the saltworks in it (Suedpark). This is a great and impressing spot to be in (that’s why Bad Nauheim earned the “Bad”) and during the European festival you have show-acts open air here, too. To walk: roughly 0.6 miles - but you should - just limited parking around available. While Bad Homburg had as guests the German Emperors, the Tsar and the king and queen of Thailand, Bad Nauheim was visited for treatment often by the former chancellor of Germany, Bismarck. Bad Nauheim is internationally known for its expertise and very good treatment of heart diseases. Cheers, Bernie

Thank you Spa Guy for uploading another great video. I believe staying in Germany was a turning point for Elvis. He saw how other people lived. It broadened his horizon. He also started karate while he was over there, what was not so known in America. I read he showed people how to break wooden bricks, in the middle of Bealstreet, that must have been a sight to see, he definitely made karate popular in the U.S. Also Germany was the country he met Priscilla for the first time. I wonder was this before or after he met Vera Tschechowa, cause according to Lamar he was smitten with her. They went to the Moulin Rouge together and he went by her house, they also had a day out in the Fra­nkfurt zoo. According to his chauffeur that day Elvis looked very happy. I wonder if Elvis ever visited the Memphis Zoo cause I never read about that. Take care Spa Guy ❤️ -- Beautiful park. The area round the hotel looks a bit like the Pink museum. Amazing to think that the only time Elvis stayed in Europe was because of his duty. He met Priscilla there and that changed his life forgood.
