Honestly magic kingdom was overrated when I went as a child. I enjoyed seaworld more. Epcot was really good. Animal kingdom was OK. Lion country safari was more fun. I just went to Universals Island of adventure, and that was my favorite theme park so far.

Tip for any Canadian residents!! I had a package booked with Disney that combined hotel and park tickets. After a long phone called we discovered that if I removed the park tickets included in the package and purchased separately using the Canadian resident discount currently available I saved hundreds!!

The package is usually a bit more I have learned but... You get the ability to cancel the tickets and you cant do that if purchased separately.

I just booked through Costco which seems to have the best deals by far for Disney packages

This worked for me as well, saved over a thousand USD (bought for 6 of us) but was worth the call to split the package for sure, sometimes there are better package deals but so far looks like it’s room and/or ticket deals.

@@starbird3939 this has been the trend in DFB videos since 2020. Closings, removal of perks, closings, changes no one asked for, price increases, more changes that weren't asked for, price increases, closings, perks that were lost are back but you need to pay, and price increases.

Unfortunately, construction is all part of the theme park business. And unfortunately, as long as there's enough demand, prices have to go up in order to curb that demand, as well as control crowds. And of course, higher prices have to cover electric bills, fuel for transport, food, cast members' wages, fireworks, maintenance etc. The only way prices would come down, was if there was a dramatic drop in attendance throughout the entire year, and I don't see that happening anytime soon, even with Epic Universe on the horizon. But let's not think about the negatives, let's try to focus more on the positives

If Disney wanted to control crowds they wouldn’t have increased the capacity of MK by 10k when they launched the MyMagic+ program over a decade ago. And to make this clear, this was in a park with far less capacity (rides, restaurant capacity… even benches) than in the 90s.

Once Universal announced the new park, it was inevitable that Disney had to keep up in a big way. All of the ‘reimagining’ the same rides just wasn’t going to cut it.

I’m starting to think the silver lining has a name and it’s, “Epic Universe”. At WDW, where prices aren’t increasing… Some items, like the Pongu Lumpia in AK are 1/3rd the size it used to be. We can’t be the only people who aren’t seeing the value from these continual cost increases. 😢

Am I just getting older 55 now as Ive always loved Disney and been a passholder for Disneyland as long as I can remember but these prices coupled with the lack of magic that used to be there and all the ride closures and construction have me thinking of canceling my trip to WDW in the beginning of February. Wdw owns a lot of land they needed to expand not remodel. Why close frontier land? Add the cars attraction by expanding the park same with Animal kingdom, use the land you have and build new instead of remodeling a section of the park. What wdw is doing is building new resorts to jam more people into these parks while closing chunks to make it more dense and to jack prices for less.

The company just doesn’t have cash on hand like that. It’s cheaper to reuse already designated land with infrastructure for guests than to destroy wildlife and land to build new infrastructure and then build a ride and stuff on top of that. It’s sad but true. Universal is owned by Comcast they have billions in cash from cable/internet subscribers. Disney really is like a mom in pop even though they are a mega corporation.

The only thing disappointing to me is the closure of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We literally leave this Saturday for our trip but we won't be at Disney until the 9th (doing both Universal and Disney and Universal is first). I've never ever been to Disney and that was on my list of rides I wanted to ride 😭

I was there during the hurricane in 2022 staying at AKL and the cast members were great! They brought out Safari Mickey & Minnie and Boma was only $20 per person (although some offerings weren’t available). The only downsides were we missed MNSSHP and they wouldn’t let us use our original discount to book an extra night since we couldn’t fly out when we were supposed to… so I guess that Boma discount evened out lol

AJ's videos about the fun stuff at WDW are entertaining and informative, she never addresses the ridiculously high costs of going to WDW. Air fare, hotels, rides, food, souvenirs are getting more and more expensive. Perks like the Lightning line do not make waiting times at popular any more acceptable. For me the complexity of planning a 4-5 day vacation is too much to handle. I remember going to Disneyland in 1984. It was so simple! No planning which ride to go to just get in line. The wait times were shorter. The Disney company needs to lower prices because middle income people can no longer afford to go WDW and Disneyland.

I'm already booked and paid for May. Over $5k in non-refundable costs for me and my wife for our anniversary. I'm not thrilled with all of the closures, but you only get one 20th Anniversary and she's always wanted to stay at the Polynesian so we're doing it. If the parks don't take up all of our time, there's worse things than bumming around that resort!

Kroger grocery delivery didn't work for us. If you live out of state you have to make an in store purchase before they will allow you to make a delivery order. We didn't have a car on our trip. Just wanted to share this detail.

Listen, this all comes down to "GREED" for the amount of money this vaca could cost you. Disney needs to shut the park down completely from January to June do need renos and get on with life. Where the "GREED" comes in imagine saving for years 😮 only to get there and find a large percentage of the attractions are closed MR. WALT would have been mortified!!!

Disney Hack: if you are staying at multiple resorts during your stay, you will get a water park day for each hotel you check into. I have 2 water park days because I’m staying at 2 hotels in one week.

correct I understand that is why it’s confusing to me. The majority of the winter time would be the beginning of 2025 since spring officially starts 3/21/25, and winter will start 12/21/25 but winter will only lasts for 10 days at the end of 2025. So to me this is very confusing.

I have 3 questions: Did the Incredi-Pass really stay the same price (the price you showed on the screen while saying it stayed the same showed a $100 increase), & was the camping area closure Cascade Cabins or Copper Creek Cabins? The screen shows us Cascade Cabins, but I thought I heard Copper Creek. Just checking to make sure I didn't misunderstand that one. Thanks! The third question is about something that was aired on the news today about Disney in 2025 (I don't live in Florida, so it wouldn't be something Florida specfic). They said that in 2025 with a 3 night stay (* & later they said with at least a 3 night stay) that included park hopper tickets the Disney Dining plan would be included at no additional charge (at Disney World). Is this true (& is it only with a 3 night stay or is it with at least a 3 night stay)? I'm sorry if you already did something about this. If that's the case, it must be one of the few that I've missed.

Good thing I wasn't planning on going to disney in 2025. I just could not justify going if my favorite ride was closed (big thunder mountain) I think I rode that ride like 25 times last time I was there. But then again with the new DAS pass regulations I think I wouldn't physically be able to go anymore ever anyways so I am not sure I will ever see Disney world again :(

I don't get what tropical America's has to do with "Animal" Kingdom. Surely Dinosaurs have more relevance and now with Ellen Adventure gone there will be no dino's in all of disney world and my kids love Dinosaurs! Indiana Jones and Encanto literally has nothing to do with Animals apart from Snakes and one Family members gift which is far from the central plot of the films. Hollywood studios no longer has a theme, is this the start of Animal Kingdom losing its way?

Not a dream come true . A place of false promises debt and anxiety . You pay a lot to walk everywhere , be scammed with restaurants that cheat on real ingredients, freshly made foods staff that actually know anything on cooking skills besides a deep dryer.

I personally love A Bug's Life and to me the Tree of Life will always be themed to it. I disagree to the new themeing and think that a retheming of Mufasa or The Lion King would be a better alternative while it fits very close with the Tree of Life. If you watch Mufassa you will think you are seeing The Tree of Life. Overall I really think Disney World have to consider bringing back there 3 week pass and giving guests 3 weeks for the price of 2, they also have to lower there prices of food to attract more guests. This will allow for Disney to earn more money in a better way while meeting to guests needs. It will also allow them to keep there guests and stop them from turning there back on Disney and spending all there time at Universal. I do feel I need to spend 3 weeks in Florida to experence Walt Disney World with Universal starting to take over with the new parks in 2025

I refuse to pay the high cost to just get into the park. Then stand in line for 1 to 3 hours for a ride. I love to tell people I spent 12 hours at the park and only rode 3 rides because of lines NOT. When did people start thinking standing in long over 30 mins lines were OK Disney? I and most people who goes to Disney feel like it’s money money money. Over fun day at park. I would spend more money on over priced of the so called food. If I had more time to stroll along the park and enjoy all the wonderful things that has been created .Nowadays everyone is in such a hurry that they are no longer nice. They are rude, pushy, and I’ve seen many people in wheelchairs almost get turned over. I’ll bet the new rides won’t be larger to accommodate more people at a time. Disney has lost it family touch for enjoyment over money money money. I’ve been going to Disney for over 40 years but the last time I was there I said NO MORE until they let it be enjoyable and that not going to happen. Unless they change their ways. I predict they will start closing in 10 years or less many people like me are not going back. When someone ask I always say stay away unless u want to go into debt to have rude people and your children don’t get to ride all the rides that kids want to ride.they will be tired and grumpy. Everyone will not have a good time. Is this what the Disney world we have all come to have a love and hate relationship.Disney Corp you have to turn this around and fast or you may lose it all.
