You are in my prayers with my sister. She was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma in 2015. The journey has been very hard. She is still going through treatments. She have strong faith in God , like you do. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

What type of sarcoma does she have? Sarcoma is a tough cancer to win that’s for sure. She’s had it for almost the same time frame as me. She will be in my prayers.
@meseth87787 ай бұрын
Thank you for your prayer and sharing from your own experience and expertise as a doctor. It started on her Arm and was told it was soft tissue sarcoma. they did surgery only at that time. But 2-3 years later it came back on the same spot. Now it’s metastasis in her lung and hip area. She also had craniotomy. She has been through a lot of surgeries and grafting . Chemo didn’t help at all. Now she is doing immunotherapy KEYTRUDA and INLYTA. She don’t like the side effects from Inlyta. It’s raising her blood pressure and Had to be on BP MED. The last 2 pet scan showed no new disease and the existing tumors are shrinking in size. Very grateful for that. God is good all the time. She is also doing natural remedies with Aloe vera. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
@NhiTranLee7 ай бұрын
@@meseth8778 wow praise God. I'm so happy to hear that. I was on Keytruda + Axitinib (Inlyta) also and I hated the Inlyta or any other TKIs often used for my type of sarcoma. I got off it and never want to go back on it even though it works well for me. The side effects to me are not worth it so I'll save it if it's last resort. That's a great verse - I read it and think about it often.

Just bumped into your channel. I work in an oncology hospital. It's good to see that you are coping well despite these results. Focus on the here and now. Whatever lies in future will be dealt with when the time comes. It's useless wrecking your mental state when you could be living. And so long as you're living, what does it mean to live well?. Your children and your family are your lifetime distraction and having a future goal means that you are seeking opportunities and I admire that in you. Just respect the limits that your body imposes and you will feel free mentally. Best wishes for your future dreams. Distraction is what heals.. comedy, experiences and emotions. It means that you're human. Sending you lots of love!

Thank you for your comment. What really stood out was when you said to accept the limitations of the body. I really need to remember that because my tendency is to push too hard sometimes. Overachieving and perfectionistic tendencies… equals more stress. Gotta keep working on that.

Nhi, don't lose hope, keep going girl! Take the positives and magnify the successes. I think you're right, you have time, which many others don't get. Keep fighting it, use what works for you (diet/exercise etc), remember it's ok not to be ok. We're all on the clock, so to speak, and give yourself some downtime if you need it, you're only human, fatigue is natural. I think your dietary experiments and research is good, if things don't work that's fine, there's always something else to try. Keep going, never give in, we believe in you!

There are many reasons why treating cancer is a huge struggle. First, there are so so so many different types of cancer and different sub-types within them, and then specific gene types within them again! Meaning that there is no one size fits all when it comes to treatment, it can depend on what gene the mutation is on plus many other factors, and chemo might treat one person's breast cancer, but won't work on another person with the same diagnosis. The other reason is because cancer is too good at being itself. Cancer is basically a mutated cell that won't stop, and it can hide from our immune system and mutate itself rapidly. This is why when chemo is given, you cant use that chemo again, because the cancer cells can mutate, and that particular chemo will not work as well or at all. There are some chemo given that can only hold it at bay for a limited time before the cancer is able to get the upper hand again, and it is given only to buy a bit more time, not cure it. There is progress being made, there are A LOT more drugs being used and combined, cancer genes are now looked at and treatments can be administered based on the gene mutation, not just the type of cancer, and a lot of the time these treatments work better and faster and with less nasty side effects. Unfortunately there probably won't ever be a "cure" to cancer, in fact most scientists have given up trying to find a cure and instead focus on testing cancers to get its dna sequence and seeing exactly what gene is faulty and then tailoring treatment based on that, instead of using blanket chemos, and the other thing they are focused on it making treatments better, faster and with less side effects

The money is in the treatment. There is NO money in cures, unfortunately.

I think your plan is excellent. Doing the right diet and supplements are keeping the glucose down which feeds the cancer. I love your attitude in this. Mindset means so much.

Aww thank you so much for your comment. That is very kind and I try to explain things in an easier way for people to understand because there is so much medical jargon. I agree med school should be very different.

As somebody dealing with dysautonomia for decades I recognise so much about the fatigue (both physical and emotional) and I recognise a lot of the 'meds' you are trying to use for self-medication. What surprises me is the lack of Vitamin C. Any reason for that? Wishing you all the best!
@NhiTranLee6 ай бұрын
Hi, I do take Vitamin C and was getting the high dose IV vitamin C for a while. It is expensive and time consuming so I have stopped it. May go back to it eventually.

I really like your can-do never lose hope attitude! There is a lot of alternatives out there remember that cancer ferments glutamine & glucose but can not ferment ketones. Also organic juice fasting with concord grape seed & extracts. There is a lot of herbs like fresh juiced IN SEASON pawpaw fruit is extremely powerful. Pawpaw fruit needs to be harvested at the right time for maxiumum anti-cancer compounds.

Watch the weather patterns, and the stars and the clouds. Breathe deeply and pray for your soul. Pray for your most important people in your life. Smile alot. God bless you and your family.❤❤
