I know Bad News was friends with Dynamite and obviously his version is skewed in Dynamite's favor, but multiple wrestlers have confirmed Bad News was in the locker room when Dynamite attacked Jacque from behind a few weeks before when he was playing cards, and also hit Raymond, who was on crutches at the time. It's a bit disingenuous to act like Dynamite didn't have in coming.

I was referring to the incident a few weeks before where Dynamite attacked Jacques from behind while he was playing cards, which started the tension. @@kevthegoat8774 Raymond’s interview is exactly as you just described. The version where Bad News grabs Raymond and pins him up against the wall and tells him he will kill him if he touches Dynamite is from a shoot with Bad News himself (I should have said it was it was from the shoot with Bad News in my earlier post). Raymond said that Bad News just yelled at him to stop, even though Raymond was not participating in the attack, and as you said, showed him his hands and said that his hands were clean since there was no blood on them. The problem with Bad News was by the time he got into the WWF in 1988 he was 45 years old. Now, Bad News was a great talent. He had the look, he could wrestle, and he was amazing at delivering promos and drawing heat. The problem is, at that time, a 45 year old wasn't going to get a huge push or a title run. @Kevin Michaud they were not fired, they quit to go back to Japan. Basically Dynamite was in some way the “boss” of the dressing room and I suspect he lost “face” with the guys as a result of this. Apparently Vince went to Japan in 89 to speak to both of them about coming back as he had big plans for the U.K. market and needed the best U.K. wrestlers in his stable, but Dynamite rejected the idea and apparently this is what led to the split of the Bulldogs
@clark823 жыл бұрын
@Kevin Michaud story goes Vince called both teams into his office and said “this ends now!”.... and it did, and think it’s Bret that tells the story is that he went to the Reogue brothers and told them not long after and said he had good and bad news... “good news the bulldogs have handed in their notice.... bad news they are working with you guys on their way out!”.... that’s part of the reason for the Reougue brothers being eliminated very early at Survivor Series 88 and the Bulldogs lasting until pretty late so the Reogue brothers could grab their stuff and get away. Davey was the one sacked in 1992. Seems like it’s only Bad News and Bret that liked Dynamite (I think Macho Man likes him also, as he kind of “hired” him as his bodyguard when on the road) and it’s really only Bret that’s kept his name alive over the years.... Debunking some of BNB's points: 1. Pat Patterson wasn't the boss. Vince was the boss. Who cares if PP was there or not? 2. Dynamite kid got what he deserved. He clobbered Jacques from behind and started beating him up while he was playing cards with Mr. Perfect. This was the "receipt". 3. Even the Rougeaus acknowledged that Bret, Anvil, the Bulldogs, Dino Bravo, and BNB were a form of "klique" in the locker room. They stuck together. 4. Who cares if Jacques used a roll of quarters to hit him with? It took a lot of guts to stand up to a bully, especially with all his buddies around. One cheap shot deserved another.

Iceman3000 I did. In fact, my brother and I were lucky enough to have any poster of anything we wanted. A family that owned a print shop/business were close friends with our family. We had stacks of wrestling, cars, bands and all types of posters because prints that had the slghtest defect, I'm talking even blemishes barely the size of watermelon seeds, were unusable to them and we'd get them. lol Like I said, we had posters galore and our room was always postere up with something different all the time but the one constant one that was up for a few years untouched was of the British Bulldogs. It was an older one with the two in their light blue tights posing with clenched fists and the view was on a slight downward angle. So they were kind of looking upwards. Slightly. lol The British Bulldogs and The Hart Foundation are my all time favourite tag-team.

He had a bad reputation in terms of getting along with people all the way back to his judo days. He was a locker room lawyer who was always arguing over everything with the agents. He also tells all these stories about him acting tough around tough guys, but never getting into fights with them or them standing up to him. He might have asked Garvin not to do the chops at some point, but it didn't go down the way he says it. The thing about Dynamite Kid is that he was different around people who could stand up to him and were tough enough to fight him if they had to. He was a typical two-faced bully. Bad News was his friend and Bad News is loyal to a fault for his (few) friends.

Much as i like Bad News Brown/Allen, people have to understand he himself like; 'The Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite, Bret and Jim Neidhart and others all once worked up north in the Canadian Stampede territory. So its no wonder he takes Dynamite's side here when in most categories most of the time, everyone has mostly taken Jacques Rougeau's side because he was the victim who finally stood up to the bully and broke him. Dynamite was never the same again after having his teeth punched out by Jacques Rougeau. Dynamite tortured Jacques for weeks even after the first beatdown in the lockeroom. And once humiliated him on an airplane ride and told the stewardess to say as they all disembarked off the plane on the microphone; *"better luck next time in your boxing match Jacques Rougeau"* and Bad News Brown takes their side in the situation? Yeah, cos they all once worked for 'Stampede Wrestling' together thats why. its not as if Bad News is going to chuck Dynamite (Tommy Billington) under the bus is he? nope! Liked him as a wrestler but personally, its clear as day he's also quite bias in his opinion however.

Bad News has changed from his early shoot interviews. His interviews from years before this were always how the other guys were all scared of him and how he made everyone else back down etc. He came across as being full of himself. Here, he sounds like a good guy, although I don't believe his account of the Dynamite kid business.
