Gearbox had a dent but it was just the cover of the mechatronics unit. Upon delivery I found that the side damaged extended into the floor and the gearbox was completely smashed. It's taken me 9 months, but it's on the home straight now. It's been an embarrassment for me... until now. Sorry but I disagree but then you did not share the cost of the frame repair… You have chosen a career in saving cars which are motoring history. You wouldn’t lose much content on this. You could take the car back to the unit, pull it apart, totally strip it down to the frame, return it for frame repairs which you could document some of. Then you could do what you do best and rebuild and modify. You said it yourself that everything is reparable… This video is 2 years old and the price today is still £33,000 for this car. If the frame repairs cost no more than £5,000 then you’re still well ahead… Food for thought..? I hope you’ve kept it and will reconsider. What you do is amazing. I love seeing you repair cars that others won’t. You are keeping the best examples of motoring history alive..! Hats off to you. Love your work. Your enthusiasm is infectious.

unlucky mate but its not over.Honestly as much as this is a challenge, this is a perfect opportunity to showcase the ability of a repair shop. Can you not work out a deal with this garage or any other garage to repair it on youtube at a cut price, split the revenue which will give their company essentially long term advertising. If people can see them repair that, essentially they will see they can repair anything. Those same viewers may bring their cars to them because they have seen the quality of their work and how they are. This car already has half a million views. I can only assume there will be more in the long run and if people like tavarish, richrebuilds and samrac are anything to go by, repairing the unrepairable draws a lot of views. I hope you see this message and I hope you give it another look in.

That said, I have the W204 and I knew it would be too expensive, the car is a hassle for just simple things sometimes, so this was never going to be a great idea. *On to the next one though mate! The content you produce is beyond great, and I'd love to see another W204 pop up at some point.* It's a shame that a lot of the 6.3's have had their fun and been mistreated already so finding good ons is becoming harder, especially crash damaged. That car is destined to be broken up though sadly... But we've all had bad luck, been there and done that Also if you decide to break for parts I'll have the alloy, tyres, calipers, and mirrrors!

So sad. I have a C63 that I've completed its repairs (I bought it damaged, sight unseen). I got lucky but has taken some time to repair with mechanics and shops back and forth. Really hoping you get a C63 soon Mat! This playlist directly relates to my situation (except I've got the prefacelift sedan C63).

I have had the same problem with a car purchased from Copart, but in my case a lot less money was involved. Copart do not let potential buyers into their yard, because of that there should be a clause saying that if any car has been deliberately ''doctored up'' the buyer should be entitled to some form of compensation, but I know if a complaint is made to Copart they always seen to have a way of getting out of it.....

Your attitude towards this was first class. Many including myself would struggle to see the positives. Fair play to you mate.

Oh Matt I feel so so sorry for you!! As you always say look at the positives - as others have mentioned could you get a donor Merc (C class or oldie retro mod??) and swap the running gear over?? Or strip down and sell the good bits off it - there is definitely a good market for parts. Either way if its parked up at your unit it wont be costing you anything. Anyway I have to say you have the best attitude about the whole thing and this just proves how much of a complete, dictionary definition legend you are!!

Love the honesty, a lot of other channels would blag and hide the perils of buying CAT cars. Would be amazing to transplant the running gear and engine into another C63 or even an old school C-Class to make some sort of mental sleeper car. Regardless of what you do, it’s gonna be amazing content. Keep up the great work, Mat.

You missed a trick there Matt, you could have referred to it as the Mercedes Bends 😂. Sorry this car didn't turn out too well, but your enthusiasm and passion for your channel will push you on to a bigger and brighter future, I'm certain of it! All the best, bud.
