If you've been playing through the Archon quest in Natlan, you may have noticed the absence of voice lines for certain characters, including Kinich, Kachina, and Ahaw, leading to some awkward moments. During the 5.1 special program, while other language versions showcased key characters as hosts, the English version featured members of the localization team, further highlighting the silence.

The lack of voice lines is due to the ongoing voice actor strike that began in July. While AI could replicate these voices, using AI or other individuals for character voicing could lead to legal issues for HoYoverse. This situation is complicated as the voice actors aim to protect their rights, but their absence might inadvertently push players toward AI-generated voices, creating a growing gap in the game experience.
