My 2005 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 has the 4.6L 2-valve in it. Currently has over 270k on it and runs like a top. No oil leaks, doesn't burn any either. It's the main reason I bought the truck is it had thev4.6L 2-valve versus the 5.4L Triton.

I have a 4.6 in an expedition from 03 having coolant disappearing I have no idea where it's going...

@mayshack that was actually one of the first things I did was check my oil. Unfortunately I have a slow leak and I only just found out where it is (small hairline crack in passenger valve cover at the rear)

@@fellowshipandcars2327 is there any way for me to take a look at this without removing the intake this is my daily driver and I do need it On the daily. I do have a borescope that I bought when I had to sleeve the #4 spark plug (spark plug blew out taking the threads with them)

Good luck. I stay away from any ford or any of them for that matter that left the factory without a carb. I don’t own or want anything made after the mid 80s. I can make those run and fix anything on them. Computers sensors and the like. Not for me.

thats stuff all common plus old 4.6 5.4 yes big diffence in trucks and cars truth junk miss 5.0 302 for win no that 4.6 5.8 okay but man when they switch trans and motor all down hill i remember few builds motor trends shows engine master heck even few those demo prep talk all kinda pos those were truth

ya carb swap it cut head off well thier do build better know have them surfaced refresh gaskets check everthing i would not trust that old pos i know but time is money spend it make content
