It doesn't mean he can't sing it, you still have to be really close to the note for the Antares rack unit to perfect the note. Nothing particularly wrong with it, as I think live shows' purpose has changed. With any kind of music with lots of moving parts (such as this), it's a better experience for the general listener when it sounds nearly perfect. Some people love hearing imperfections and flaws in a performance, others expect singers to be 100% perfect all the time and it's just not reasonable for most singers. Every once in a while we get truly incredible vocalists of basically inhuman levels of consistency but it's very rare. If you think about it from a marketing perspective, this is just a way to make sure the audience is always going to get the best sound out of the show they paid to see.

It sounds fake because there is auto tune on it. I think he's a great vocalist but I'm just pointing out that's the reason it sounds fake. You can hear it clearly when he transitions to different notes on some parts.

@@DudeMan-xs3db yeah but the only reason you don't hear the flex tune all time time is because for 99% of the time he is perfectly in tune. You clearly don't understand how pitch correction works. The only reason you can even hear it is cause he went out ever so slightly on a few notes. Pitch correction is most effective when applied to a singer who has really good pitch, other wise you just sound like T-Pain, or you get that unbearable flex tune sound.

flew to see bad omens in paris earlier this year [from ireland], because my sister and i are huge fans and we couldn't miss it. and thank god we didn't - noah's live vocals (clean and unclean) meet and exceed the studio versions, the stage presence was immaculate, the energy in the room was unmatched. i don't usually get pcd for months after a concert, but bad omens are different - i will definitely see them any chance i get. incredible! ♡

I don’t care if they don’t sound PERFECT when singing, live. I want to hear their RAW vocals and not processed garbage, with backing vocals and auto-tune. Who cares if they are pitchy, or aren’t perfectly harmonizing, it’s their pure talent that brought them here. We wanna see them shine. I hate hearing so much auto-tune in rock vocals. Slight aside, they sound phenomenal otherwise.

so, i was lucky enough to work at a venue where they played before the became who they are now (huge world wide) and i got to set up their gear with their crew, and with full confidence, i can tell you, this is raw vocals, outside of some reverb, compression, etc, there are no effects to pitch his voice in any way. i’ve worked with hundreds of bands and ‘artists’ that need it and abuse it, Noah is not one of them. they’re all just THAT good.

I followed these guys since their self titled album and the way Noahs voice has progressed from album to album is absolutely amazing. In an interview in regards to The Death Of Piece Of Mind album he said he had finally found his voice and he truly has. Also as everyone says they sound just as well live as is on the studeo versions. Hopefully ill be seeing them September 23rd this year, they are pretty much my favorite band next to Korn and Bring Me The Horizon.
