@AnnieErre2 жыл бұрын
You can really feel what he's singing right? It's one of the things I love the most about this band and Noah. Sometimes his lyrics and the way he sings make me sad too, like that one 'I waited but nobody called' part in Said and Done makes me cry. But you know? Whatever it is he went through, he made something awesome out of it and got this far, and that serves me as inspiration to keep fighting too. I hope one day I get to tell him how awesome I think he is 🙌🏻
@Mauve222M2 жыл бұрын
It’s beautiful, truly the voice of an Angel
@shhhquietplease62642 жыл бұрын
@@AnnieErre Yeah 100%. Even when the lyrics seems simple and not that elaborate, the way he sings them makes every word feel so much heavier. Not just vocally, but in an emotional sense. It's visceral for me. I start to feel his pain, and can't shake it away. Maybe I'm reading too far into it. Maybe it's just me personally who feels too connected. But Noah's songs and voice have a profound effect on me. To the point where he has become the first and only artist I deeply want to understand and comfort. And I don't even know him! (I desperately wish I did). When I first discovered his music, I felt like I was becoming catatonic. His work haunted me (I have been listening to dark metal music for almost a decade and I've heard dozens of bands, but there was something uniquely different about my experience with Noah's songs). I love sad music, as heavy as suicide, because I identify with it, but something about his songs suffocated me (especially Never Know - both versions) they were so painful to me for some reason. It took weeks before I was exposed to light hearted video clips of him, and it was only then did I stop feeling so heavy. It made me feel better that he wasn't constantly suffering. I know art comes from suffering. But he seems completely undeserving of that pain. He honestly seems really innocent and gentle. :(
@AnnieErre2 жыл бұрын
@@shhhquietplease6264 I know what you mean. It's everything for me, from his lyrics and how relatable they can be, to how he puts his heart out there when he's performing. I have struggled with my mental health since I was like 11 and music has always been the only thing that pulls me out of that hole. And while I do love a whole lot of bands and many different genres, there's something special about what Noah does that just stands out and talks to me on a deeper level. And it's not like I know him either, but there's something about him that I can identify with. This might sound strange, but when I listen to him I understand the 'bad' part of me better, you know? That part that is sad, angry and lost. What he writes somehow help me see those things, open up to them and be vulnerable. And at the same time, it gives me strength, peace and even hope. I found their music when everything was falling apart for me and they were, in a way, the shoulder I cried on and the hand that helped me get back up. I hope Noah gets to experience that sort of catharsis through what he does and hopefully he can leave all the pain behind without losing that rare spark he has. He truly seems like one of a kind and I love the hell out of him, even if he doesn't know that I exist haha

Noah has total or at least near proficiency in at least four vocal registers: Falsetto, head voice, chest voice, scream. He sounds like at least three people. His falsetto and head voice can be extremely feminine at times, his chest voice is a solid tenor/high baritone, and his scream is based in vocal fry so it has a very rough and tense texture. He’s just a skilled, talented singer. No other way to cut it.

A man I met and thought I shared a connection with ended up telling me he has a wife and children and he’s asked me if I’ll still see him. It’s so difficult to let go because I really liked him but this just floored me (mind you he’s not divorced or anything like that). I revisited this song on a whim and only now am I really listening to the lyrics and allowing it to resonate with me. I’m trying to be strong and never go back to seeing him for my own well being. Thankful this songs exists

The beginning of "I think you've overstayed your welcome" gives me goosebumps. The way he starts like he's going to scream, but switches to singing clean is giving me some supressed aggression vibes. I like it.

Crazy how youtube was founded in 2005, and people have been making screennames for even longer yet not a single soul has ever thought "hmmm, I should call myself Peautiful Benis that would be pretty funny". There are names like Hugh G. Rection, Dig Bick etc. but never this. I applaud you for diving so deep into the psyche of humanity as a whole and pulling this user name out of it. No I'm not trying to be some sarcastic pseudo-intellectual asshole, this name is amazing.

Been dealing with depression for over 7 years. On top of that, trying to get over a really rough break up. It’s songs likes these that speak from the heart and have those true emotions we have in life behind it. Great music like this that has power behind it and meaning. I’m going to continue to take care of myself. I hope the rest of you out there do too. At times it’s ok to not be ok. Always keep your head up and never give up on life.

I really can't stop listening to this song. It's pure magic. I only discovered the band a couple of weeks ago thanks to an ad on Instagram and now I'm addicted. It's a minor setback that Like A Villain was blasting in my earphones when I had a massive panic attack a few days ago and now I get reminded of the feeling every time I play it but I still can't stop.

Such a versatile band. Nick Folio has to be one of the most underrated drummers in music today. These guys are great. A song like this to a song like dethrone? Talk about range.
@radamus210 Жыл бұрын
I was completely oblivious to this band - someone suggested it - I like to listen eyes closed so visuals don't influence thoughts. I would've bet money there were 3 individual vocal parts. Dude has range. I'm an old metal head from late 70's through mid 90's - thrash mode is not for me - but I can handle a little sprinkle on the top as long as it's a garnish. This is pretty badass.
