As a happily married man for 12 years and with 3 daughters 12 and younger, The Death of Peace of Mind hits me a little differently lol. Instead of worrying about being cheating on, I view it as I lost my peace of mind because I'm always worried about my wife and kids health and safety. When I am at work and my kids are at school, there is always that feeling of hoping they are safe. With love comes a lot of responsibility, and sometimes a lack of peace of mind lol, hope that makes sense.

My interpretation of this song is that’s it’s about the darker side of love that most don’t think about and no one talks about, uniquely from a man’s perspective. When all a man has is himself he has a peace of mind because he doesn’t have to worry about anyone else or be concerned with anyone else’s safety or well being. He will always be with himself and able to protect and take care of that. His world and concerns are small. But once he loves his peace of mind dies because he now has another depending on him and he is constantly worried and thinking “is she ok, is she safe, what if something happens and she needs me and I’m not there, can I be enough and take of and protect her”. A man will go to war and die for his children. A man will burn god and all eternity to the ground for the woman he loves.

@@grm6551 Agree. To me, Metal just refers to an aggressive nature to music, usually by musicians with good technical ability to play their instruments. That doesn't obligate it to be "aggressive" all the time in fact, the best music of this genre modulates (in multiple musical aspects) and possesses a dynamism that makes these aspects more striking aurally and emotionally, e.g. this song, Parasite Eve, Nothing Else Matters, Black Hole Sun, you get the idea.

They don't tho, false chords aren't your real vocal chords. When you hear screams in bands, they're using false chords. Some singers use fry which is false chords using a tiny bit of true vocal chords. If you tried to scream like this with true vocal chords you wouldn't have a voice after 5mins. Yeah both sounds are coming from the throat and nasal area but not in the same way.

Everyone interprets music differently and that's the beauty of it. For me what we saw here are 3 different people all experiencing a different type of love: One who's love isn't being reciprocated One who's married One who's enjoying the single life but is haunted by the memories of those he told he loved but ended up getting hurt. In the end, love in many forms is indeed the end of a sane single life: Doesn't matter if we're happily together with the one we love we either obsess over their well being, trying to have the perfect life together or we're that person who loves someone but they don't feel the same way about us. Or if we choose to be single we are haunted by the memories of those who we told we loved. Regardless love in any form is indeed the end of peace of mind.

No no, he DOES use pitch correction and a lot of digital vocal arrangements, but he DOES sing, and quite good. Those are just a stylistic choice to fit their style. Noah's voice is heavily edited but he sings for real.

oc there is pitch correction. EVERYBODY uses it. However you have to be able to sing well without the correction otherwise it sounds like shit. And Noah is a phenomenal singer. But if you want to layer vocals you cant afford minor shakiness
