Thing I disliked in school: Field day. the day they had everyone go outside and compete in various events. I was never good at any athletics so I came in last in Evey event and got teased. So one year I figured if if every event was optional, why did I have to do any of them? I find it impossible to believe in the entire history of my school that I was the first kid to figure that out. Needless to say the school was pissed, called my parents, and a new rule was made that barring an injury every event was mandatory. So I started intentionally trying to twist my ankle in the days leading up to field day. Uncommon Fear: total silence. If a room is completely quiet I get paranoid that someone is sneaking up on me. (Before you ask yes that includes while sleeping. I invested in a white noise machine)

From someone working in IT and proficient in networking... 53:08 hurts lmao. You wouldn't last a day if you had to configure that yourself. Sure it can default to automatic but good luck with it if it doesn't get the lease. And no, the WiFi is not just in the air 😭 And with TVs using VLANs and trunking nowadays to get their signal good luck configuring that if you don't get a router from your ISP that sets it up for you. And with how modern devices automatically disconnect from networks without internet access, if the router didn't get a public IP your average user isn't gonna know how to access the local IP for settings to fix it. I do say this from the Netherlands where ISPs are pretty hands off and do just mail you a router to attach yourself and they only set up a modem (for the coax/fiber to rj45 copper) if your house doesn't have a compatible one. So maybe US ISPs do send over a technician to do shit the routers do automatically here.

What i hate about school is they give out homework. So you have to do it out of already long school day. You get a free period to just do that homework when you could take away the homework so you also take away the study hall and the day would be shorter meaning everyone is happy. Or you could put study hall time into class time so homework wouldn't exist because the teacher's have more time to teach. I mean knowing them they will give out homework just because and it would be mindless busy work but maybe more time would help.

It has different behaviors depending on the street. It can either be set to a specific value (change sooner if pressed / no effect) or some crossings have a sensor that will change the light sooner if it detects someone waiting
