The part where the exposure is animated and the blend with original of invert really sells the effect.. and the use of toggle hold key frames I didn't knew how to use them..now I know.. thanks man🙌

I highly doubt you can ever run out of ideas for content, but if it ever happens for any reason, may I suggest you show us how you come up with these procedural ideas? It's amazing how adaptable and procedural everything you make is... I'm sure we could learn from your process! In the meantime we'll take notes from the projects you share! Thanks again for putting the time into it :)

I hope I don't run out of ideas:) I think it's just my way of animating. When I started using After Effects, I didn't use expressions at all. That changed over time, when I realised that they make a lot of things much easier.
@nathitappan2 жыл бұрын
@@ManueldoesMotion I definitely see the value of expressions and have been working on understanding them more than just copying them. But there is something else, untangible even, that unfortunately I think only comes with doing it over and over again. The 'which effects to combine', 'which look to go for'... First comes the good taste, then the skill to turn that tasteful design into something rendered. I'll get there... Until then I'll keep collecting the good nuggets I find on your channel 😉

Awesome tutorial Manuel! Big congrats ! I may say you have one of the best After Effects Channels. By the way, I also like very much the BG music, especially over the first 3 min of the movie. If possible, please let me know what is the soundtrack. Not the last, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge!❤

Thanks so much! All the music I use is from www.artlist.io the song at the beginning is called "Dive into the abyss" by Aquartos.

Manuel! great video! Sorry but how do you do the luma part in 5:14 with 2021 version of AE?
@ManueldoesMotion2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The mask layer needs to be above the layer you want to use it on. Then you click on the drop down menu left of that layer, you choose luma mask.

Technical questions. Why do you duplicate layers like the text layer and why did you unlink the track matte?
@ManueldoesMotion3 ай бұрын
Because the second text layer gets a different matte. The dots layer.

The matte layer needs to be above your layer. Then you use the drop down menu to set it to luma.

My jumpcut only moves one of the text layers for some reason and not everything. So it just looks like shadows moving if that makes sense. I'm not gon lie the error makes it look cool but I would like to know where my mistake lies

I scaled just the text layer as well.

my matte track doesn't have a parent & link, is my after effects a different version? 🥲🥲
@ManueldoesMotion Жыл бұрын
The track matte system changed in After Effects 23. In earlier versions you need to move the track matte layer above your layer and use the drop down menu.
@LeynNnn Жыл бұрын
@@ManueldoesMotion That's true, but unfortunately, it can only track matte one layer, whereas for the latest version... It can be two-layer, and even the thread can be pulled. 😣🙌
@ManueldoesMotion Жыл бұрын
@@LeynNnn Yeah exactly. You need to duplicate the matte layer and add one above each layer. It is much more convenient in AE 23.
@LeynNnn Жыл бұрын
@@ManueldoesMotion Thank you is not enough for you, even if it is just a comment but it is very useful for beginners, especially all your videos, may you always be ambitious like a burning fire. Thanks!! 🙌
