The prizes won were for the viewer at home that entered and drawn at random, not for Greg and his wife. By the looks of it the celebrities in this special didn’t get any “prize” for appearing. I know in 1997 the celebrities that participated got a watch from Tissot, and the celebrities that appeared in 2003 all got a television each for their efforts.

Our version ran from 1981 to 2006 on the Seven network, and there was an ill-fated revamp on the Nine network in 2008, which was cancelled barely a month into its run. So 27 years in all (or 25 years and 1 month I guess), making the Australian version the second-longest running version of "The Wheel" behind the US version

Funny how Rob says to Greg that nobody ever asks for J and all 3 of the contestants birthday months start with J. Jeff was born 21 July 1953, Murray was born 30 June 1960 and Greg was born 16 January 1972 and coincidentally the day after that, 17 January marks the date he had a heart attack on stage in 2020 and if that’s not enough coincidence, the date after that, 18 January marks the date he returned to the group after a 5 year absence in 2012.
