it's a good thing you addressed those questions which would bother in fact not just transsexuals but just anybody regardless of their sexuality. Are those moments when one does not understand being insulted that make the difference. The longer lasts the smile of one who listen, the finer is the talent of one who insults. And usually when people ask if surgery hurt, they are referring to the period after the actual procedure, the recovery period, where the anesthesia no longer blocks the sodium channels in the intramembrane space, preventing nerve impulses we know as the sensation of pain. Then the severe trauma of the surgical procedure can be felt as pain. A procedure such as mutilating the male reproductive organ with its numerous nerve endings would hurt severely.

I don't have any problem answering most of these questions, and I'm transsexual. Perhaps it does come down to how much privacy you need/want in your life. I often find it amusing to discuss my private personal stuff even with complete strangers. I don't think the questions themselves are bad either, but depends on who asks them and for what reasons. But then it's the people who are bad and not the words. Not everyone knows if they're being offensive or not when asking someone a question though. Although I can imagine that as a famous person other people might care less about your integrity/personal space and generally be more rude, but I'm not famous so I can only imagine.

that's hardly what i'd consider an error. in the film, which is what she is referring to, he is portrayed as a straight yuppie. in context of the "i saw (such and such film) and i think transexuals etc.", it makes perfect sense.

My question is: How was your day, ma'am? Frankly, even though someone may have questions, that doesn't mean they've got the right to poke around in your life, or any one else's. There are forums they can find these answers to their questions, ways to correct their misinformation, without intruding on another's life, with as much right to privacy as anyone else. So any question that isn't the same sort of question you'd ask any other person, I agree - it should be kept to themselves
